After the launch of an anniversary GT, the Ligier JS2 R, and a single-make formula with the Ligier JS Cup France as its playing field, there’s a new surprise in store for the 50th anniversary of the iconic French make: a limited series Ligier x BRM watch of which only 50 will be made!



To celebrate its anniversary, Ligier Automotive is joining forces with the French luxury watch maker, B.R.M Chronographes, a well-known name in the paddocks to create a watch of which 50 numbered pieces will be made. What colour? Ligier blue. The dial? In carbon.



A meeting between history and technology. The watch designed and manufactured by B.R.M Chronographes interprets the outstanding features of Ligier racing cars. This refined accessory is aimed at lovers of the make and will echo their passion. It is presented in a hand-made box with a plate commemorating the 50 years of Ligier.



“We’ve been thinking about a watch to celebrate our anniversary for some time now,” explains Jacques Nicolet, the president of Ligier Automotive.




“Since its creation, B.R.M Chronographes has followed motor racing with great interest and left its mark on the revival of some of the most prestigious makes in motor sport. So it was a no-brainer to entrust this commemoration to Bernard Richards with whom I share a passion for beautiful machines. It’s a very beautiful object made in France to celebrate this event - and the next fifty years of our brands!”

All my life I’ve been immersed in the blue of the Ligier make, the feats of its drivers and by Guy Ligier’s determination.



It’s an honour for B.R.M Chronographes and a kind of consecration in itself to have been chosen by the Nicolet family to design the watch for the fifty years of Ligier.”
