AIESEC offers internship opportunities abroad at UAE’s leading education, training, and career fair

UAE graduates and students keen to acquire leadership skills while discovering new parts of the world are being offered internship opportunities abroad by a leading global youth network at the UAE’s foremost education and training event this week.


AIESEC, the multinational youth organisation dedicated to leadership development, is promoting international internships for UAE youths visiting NAJAH Education, Training and Careers Fair, currently taking place until tomorrow (31 October) at Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre.


The not for profit organisation, which is managed entirely by young adult volunteers under the age of 25, is showcasing at NAJAH the Global Community Development Programme – a six week voluntary action in NGOs allowing both graduates and undergraduates to take part in creating a positive impact in the society through segmented issue-based projects.


Another option AIESEC offers to NAJAH visitors is the popular Global Internship Programme, a more advanced course dedicated to graduates looking to spend six to 18 months abroad, working in a professional environment and under different fields including management, engineering, marketing, and design.


Sara Abdul Aziz Hussain, National Director for Substantial Affairs at AIESEC, said today: “AIESEC focuses on professional and personal development of young adults by exposing them to different cultures and work environments across every continent of the world.


“Our international internships place thousands of students in new exciting environments every year, and we ensure that all interns are enjoying their experience by integrating them into the culture of the country in which they choose to work.”


AIESEC programmes provide interns with real life leadership experiences, consisting of both theoretical coursework and practical hands-on experience, where each intern has a role with a job description and a team working together for a common objective.


AIESEC has been facilitating youth leadership activities as well as international internships and volunteer experiences for more than 65 years, developing a global learning environment across 124 countries and territories.


Hussain said that interest from NAJAH visitors of the organisation’s global internships has been encouraging, with the country’s youth eager to explore exciting new work environments.


She added: “NAJAH is one of the largest youth-oriented exhibitions of the year and being part of it helps us meet our target audience. The event’s main focus is to provide opportunities for the youth and that is exactly what AIESEC aims to do.”


Now in its seventh edition, NAJAH is held under the patronage of His Excellency Sheikh Nahyan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan and supported by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the Abu Dhabi Education Council.




Having opened yesterday, the three-day event is hosting more than 160 local and international universities, higher education institutes as well as employers looking to meet thousands of school-leavers and fresh graduates from across the UAE.
