Chevrolet and GM Goodwrench to Host Exclusive Screenings of Documentary Honoring Racing Legend Dale Earnhardt

Chevrolet and GM Goodwrench will support the premier of the highly anticipated documentary "DALE" through their role as presenting sponsors and by hosting exclusive screenings in 40 markets across the United States mirroring the 2007 NASCAR Nextel Cup Series race schedule. Chevrolet and GM Goodwrench dealers will hold over 100 premiers of "DALE," a documentary showcasing the life of Dale Earnhardt, one of the greatest drivers in the history of NASCAR.

The first Chevrolet/GM Goodwrench showing will take place in Clearwater, Fla. on Jan. 28 with 23 additional Florida screenings to be held throughout Daytona, Fort Myers, Jacksonville, Miami, Orlando, Tampa, and West Palm Beach prior to the Daytona 500. Each of the 100 exclusive showings will host approximately 300 to 2,500 individuals. Participating Chevrolet and GM Goodwrench dealers will determine how tickets are distributed, which can include but are not limited to completing a test drive, participating in a dealer sweepstakes or winning a radio promotion to receive two free tickets to a premier or private screening. Each showing will come complete with the No. 3 GM Goodwrench show vehicle and an e-photo booth with the No. 3 Team.

Earnhardt earned more than $41 million in his career and collected seven NASCAR Cup Series championships, all behind the wheel of a Chevrolet. He tallied four of those championships in the famous black No. 3 GM Goodwrench Chevrolet while competing for team owner Richard Childress and scored all but three of his 76 career wins in a Chevy until his untimely death in 2001.

Earnhardt was a significant supporter of General Motors, powering his GM Goodwrench Chevy to victory on the race track, frequently adding new and historic Chevrolets to his personal vehicle collection or overseeing operations of his Chevy dealership in Newton, N.C.
