Volkswagen launches the new special model Touareg DRIVE onto the market. This all-wheel drive, premium-segment all-rounder offers the most popular optional equipment of this product line as standard - including an electric foldable mounting bracket, trailer manoeuvring system (Trailer Assist), Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), offroad package and air suspension. Touareg DRIVE will be launched with a price advantage of around EUR 7,900*. In addition, there will be attractive leasing rates, especially for the self-employed.
The equipment of the special model has been tailored to the scenarios encountered by Touareg drivers, who often use the comfortable car for both business and private long-distance trips. Which is why they especially appreciate comfort and safety features such as the predictive ACC, as well as the Front Assist system with automatic emergency braking and pedestrian detection. Just as important: the Touareg offers the variable interior of a spacious five-door vehicle (luggage compartment has a volume of up to 1,800 litres).
Another interesting fact: 75 percent of all Touareg were ordered with an electric swivelling towing bracket. And with good reason since the SUV can cope with maximum trailer weights of up to 3,500 kilos (braked).
This wide variety of uses is reflected in the extensive standard equipment of the new Touareg DRIVE. Specifically, this includes:
• Trailer manoeuvring system (Trailer Assist)
• Electric folding mounting bracket
• App Connect and Volkswagen Media Control for smartphones and tablets
• Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) with speed limiter
• Connectivity package including mobile phone interface
• Silver anodised roof railing
• Luggage management system
• Boot lid with electric opening and closing
• Vienna leather package including seat heating and lumbar support on the front seats
• Light and Sight package (including automatically dimming and foldable exterior mirrors and automatic headlights)
• Air suspension with automatic self-levelling suspension
• Multi-function steering wheel in leather, heatable and with paddles
• Offroad package (including offroad programme, 90-litre tank, engine-skid plate)
