The team proved itself during the first year under own direction. For the winter, the Odenwald based team has taken on a lot of tasks: A new Ford Fiesta 1.6 16V is set up and the proven Ford Fiesta ST will be completely disassembled and revised. Mierschke Motorsport is a great place for young ambitious drivers since Harald as well as Niels Mierschke, who will function as in instructor in 2013, are experienced promoters of young talents.


Great challenges are often foreshadowed, as it also happens to be at Mierschke Motorsport. The team has moved to a new headquarter shortly before the preparations of the Division 2 vehicles could begin with full power. „We now have about 200 square meters on which we can run riot concerning motorsports“, Harald Mierschke explains and adds: „We have centred everything at one location and we will also set up our offices here, so that I can always be around.“


Since the middle of last year Mierschke is working with a great deal of commitment on a major project for the season 2013. „We want to help young drivers to develop and work with them continuously until they become part of the leading group. In late summer respectively after the season we will take another step in that direction with test drives for kart drivers from the WAKC.


We had a lot of requests from all over Europe for 2013 and we are very happy to prove our potential with new drivers.“ The whole team is also eager to accompany experienced drivers on their way to being successful in Division 2.


Grounds are already being prepared in Fränkisch-Crumbach: The winning vehicle is completely disassembled and will receive a complete makeover during the winter months. „The vehicles is still fully able to compete and one of the most reliable vehicles in Division 2“, Mierschke knows.


At the moment, another ST is painted and will be ready for the beginning of the season. Furthermore a Fiesta 1.6 16 V will be set up. „There is still a lot to do but we are certain that it is worth it. Our goal is to become a steady part of Division 2 with ideally two vehicles. We focus on the 1600s as to make a name for ourselves in this class.
