Full speed ahead for the Formel ADAC and the second series of races: The second of eight race weekends in total this season is underway at Spa-Francorchamps. Jason Kremer (18, Germany, Schiller Motorsport) secured pole position for the first two of three races at the legendary Formula 1 circuit. The ADAC Sports Foundation protégé needed 2:30.048 minutes on his fastest lap of the 7.004km-circuit.
 

Kremer also heads up the front row for the second race - pole position being determined by the second quickest lap of the qualifying. "Two pole positions at such a legendary track as Spa-Francorchamps - the session went like clockwork for me," said Kremer, who is beginning his third Formel ADAC season.
 



Local driver Alessio Picariello (19, Belgium, Mücke Motorsport) posted the second best time of the session - 2:30.527 minutes - and is also on the front row. The championship leader had a deficit of 0.479 seconds on pole-setter Kremer.


ADAC Sports Foundation protégé Maximilian Günther (15, Germany, Mücke Motorsport) finished with a personal best time of 2:30.529 minutes to claim third place on the timesheet. Nicolas Beer (17, Denmark, Neuhauser Racing) completes the second row line-up in the fourth of 24 races to be held this season.


It began to rain for the first time this weekend during the last few minutes of the session, so that drivers were no longer in a position to make any meaningful improvements in lap times.
 

Mikkel Jensen (18, Denmark, Lotus) came home behind the top four in fifth position in qualifying. On his fastest lap around the Ardennes rollercoaster, the rookie from Denmark posted a 2:30.979 minutes to outpace Fabian Schiller (15, Germany, Schiller Motorsport) who placed sixth.


Ralph Boschung (15, Switzerland, KUG Motorsport) and Red Bull junior Callan O'Keeffe (16, South Africa, Lotus) head up the fourth row. Marvin Dienst (16, Germany, Neuhauser Racing) and the Dutch driver Indy Dontje (20, Netherlands, Lotus) round off the Top Ten for this year's first race on foreign soil under the aegis of ADAC's high-speed academy.
