Daniel Ricciardo ­ Three time GP winner. To be honest any win is special in F1. But here in Spa, it is a very strong race.It is a different sensation leading a race for so long, having snatched his first towo in the dying laps in Canada or Hungary.


It is more about composure and looking at lap times, and being as consistent as possible. Once I came in for third stop, I had to keep the laps times up and keep it clean. The first thing is you hope on the final laps that everything holds together.


You hope mechanically everything gets you to the finish line. Then hitting your marks and keeping it consistent. In the last few laps the checkered flag cannot come soon enough…I  still see good things ahead of me:


Singapore, Suzuka. Obviously it is great and it has been a very good day. When you lead the race for that long, it’s just about being as consistent as possible. We did not expect maximum points here. Monza we know will be tricky. The package here was quite racy. So let’s hope that the next race will also go well. The first part the pace was fantastic. Then with the rain this morning it was still not easy on the track in the first part.


Let’s keep focus in a race with good fun. The car has a good base. Running this time of wing like we did - pretty simple for the rear wing made it good. May be the wing can be even smaller in Monza.


I am behind Nico yet in the drivers’  classification. If I am within 50 points in the hunt of the championship I can be a contender in Abu Dhabi with double points.


The strategy is for the team to take maximum points everywhere we can. For me it is great. It is what I wanted to achieve to get some race wins. Outpace my team-mate exceeded some expectations. I demonstrated good race and the team has been pleased. I have been pleased and enjoy it more and more at every race.



Nico Rosberg ­ “I got a good run on Lewis and I tried to go around the outside and unfortunately we touched. Today I have not looked on tv the events in the race. So I do not want to discuss it. After that it was very complicated as my car was not too good. I am disappointed from the team perspective. I am disappointed for the team because the team had a great car this week-end.


I have not heard that Niki Lauda or Toto Wolff said it is not acceptable. But it is disappointing from a team’s point of view. I do not know what happened nor why British spectators disapproved me on the podium.  Something was on my antenna. I still do not know what it was. I tried to get rid of it. But I could not.


Yes I am confident that we can keep the harmony in the team. We will review it and move on like we did in Hungary. My strategy was not clear because of all the things happening.


I disagree with the negative discussions. We adapted our agreement in the team. It was behind us. I was very relaxed this week-end. I was in pole and was hoping to win the race and do a good job. I was hoping to win in SPA with the Silver Arrows and that was it.


I am not answering on any critics.  The battle between us we discussed many times.  Generally it was discussed. I have not seen the incident yet on TV: it is difficult to comment.



Valtteri Bottas: “Third place is fantastic for the team especially after the problems in qualifying. I was surprised by the pace of Red Bull and Mercedes.


They were far away after our poor start. We had good overtakes and good passes. But it is good to be here. I think this season will be difficult. We ll definitely need to be lucky with the team” comments Bottas.



Meanwhile, Toto Wolff is telling TV crews that his driver’s collision is “absolutely unacceptable”
