Al Attiyah : Shriaz Rally is an important station at the Agenda of Middle East Championship for Rallies




Among a great number of fans and lovers of the game, the trial Shiraz rally 2014 started yesterday Wednesday afternoon, with the attendance of deputy head of FIA Nasser Bin Khalifa Al Attiyah and a number of FIA officials and the officials of the Iran Motor sport club as well.


The event will continue up to tomorrow Friday evening, the rally witnessed the participation of Arab and Gulf champions such as; the Lebanese champion Abdo Feghali, the Qatari Khalifa Bin Saleh Al Attiyah and the extended Iranian participation in this event , which is considered the first from its kind in the republic of Iran.


From his side, Al Attiyah confirmed in a statement that, Shiraz rally is considered an important station at the agenda of Middle East Championship for Rallies and a new addition to the future of the championship, since Shiraz is distinguished by the geographical diversity rather than the other rounds of the championship , Al- Attiyah mentioned the special role that Iran motor sport club has played in organizing this event, which is considered the first from its kind in the republic of Iran.


He added that there is great touched efforts exerted by Iran Motor sport club, and more specially Mr. Hani Shaaban, The Manager of Shiraz Rally who managed to translate that progress of the motor sport , and we fully trust his skills , as we saw , all facilities were available for him, in addition to the presence of skilled human force able to organize in an ideal way , all these indicators would have surely contributed to the success of this event and a brilliant future for Iran motor sport game.


In the same course of speech, Mr. Hani Shaaban, The Manager of Shiraz Rally 2014 stated that, the success of Shiraz rally is a success to all of us, and this was the expected, due to the well preparation of the club and the directions of Nasser Bin Khalifa Al Attiyah- deputy head of FIA- who always does his best to promote the motor sport game in the Middle East and North Africa.


About the nature of Shiraz Rally phases 2014, and according to my experience in the organizational processes, I confirm that Shiraz rally is considered one of the most beautiful rallies due to its geographical diversity, the administrative regulatory procedure; I mean here the availability of the facilities submitted to the contestants, which contributed much in the success of the rally.


Shaaban stated that, the rally will be concluded today Thu. 8 stages in the first day rally (K.M 14 : 22 length) and the second day rally will consist of 6 stages (K.M 18 : 25 length) the total length of the rally would reach K.M 235 .




It’s worth saying that the name of some certain stage are named after the names of the areas in which the round is conducted, such as Ismael Abad stage, Al Nahr / River stage, Shiraz stage, etc…., the service area will be in Berosbolis which is a historical place and a destination of many tourists.


“We hope to finish the event in an ideal shape, in order to get the official approval for Shiraz rally to be inserted officially at the agenda of the Middle East Championship for Rallies 2015”. Shaaban concluded.
