Abu Dhabi qualifying will start today Friday at 9 a.m with the participation of 15 entries, with the participation of Sheikh Abdullah Al Qassmi in addition to a number of UAE and Qatari competents.


Abu Dhabi rally consists of 9 stages and Yas Marina Circuit  the first show stage yesterday.


Meanwhile,  the organizing committee held a press comference yesterday. Mr. Nasser Al Attiyah,  FIA Vice President,  Ahmed Helal, head of the organizing committee, Sheikh Khalid Al Qassmi and the Qatari driver Abdullah Al Kuwari gave speeches about the event.


Mr. Al Attiyah welcomed the guests and thanked the organizing committee of the rally and the government of Abu Dhabi for the success if the rally.


Al Attiyah said that the world is divided into many parts responsible for the organizing of motor sports. North America. North Europe. South Europe in addition to South Africa, Middle East and North Africa. The internal competition requires continuous competition and promotion to reach the international standards levels, we want more participant countries to host more rounds .


Our aim is to secure the roads  and the circuits to reduce the number of accidents . The studies stated that million and 300 thousands death cases yearly due to the roads accidents , so we try hard to avoid random style of driving .




Al Attiyah added that no doubt that we have been affected by the Arabian revolutions throughout the deficiency of logistics , cars mobilization and customs,  so it was a must to have more countries in our agenda to survive this sport in the region.


He added that we seek to secure the youth skills and abilities to compete internationally . we wish to see the middle east championship to be a passage for the champions towards the international ones such as Nasser Al Attiyah, Khalid Al Qassmi, Yazeed Al Rajhi and Abdullah Al Kuwari.


From his side, Sheikh Khalid Al Qassmi expressed his full thanks and gratitude for the efforts of Mr. Nasser Al Attiyah as he was the main reason for the return of this rally  Abu Dhabi rally deserves the return to the Middle East championship especially it has all the facilities that qualify it.
