What is behind this strange action?


Abu Dhabi fans and Media noticed yesterday the absence of Nasser Bin Khalifa Al Attiyah , FIA Vice President at the opening cermonies of the rally at Yas Marina Circuit .


Mr.Nasser Al Attiyah was asked to leave the cermonies without showing any justification  and  all what we saw is unclear intentions and contrasted feelings.


Earlier before,  it was agreed to interview Mr. Naser Al Attiyah at Abu Dhabi Sport channel and all the arrangements have been done by the FIA MENA Media coordinator Osama Al Mansour one week before the rally starts upon official request from the rally organizers 


But when Mr. Al Attiyah arrived at the studio at Yas Marina Circuit he was inforned that the interview was cancelled without no reason or justification,  which place Mr. Al Attiya in very bad situation due to this irresponsible action  as he represents officially the FIA.


Later, we have been informed from Abu Dhabi Rally International by Mr. Hani Shaaban that Mr. Nasser Al Attiyah was officially informed not to attend the opening cermonies due to security reasons.


Mr. Shaaban wondered what is meant by 'security reasons' in a sport event and this rally should not have been organized from the early begining if there are security reasons to prevent.


On the basis of the above, Abu Dhabi Rally raised many question marks about the way in which the highest officials of FIA are treated.


It is worth saying that Mr. Nasser Bin Khalifa Al Attiyah, FIA Vice President,  have made great efforts in order to return Abu Dhabi Rally to the Middle East championship and to be one of the most important rounds of the championship.
