|

Year after year, the World Series by Renault event in Budapest is one of the highlights of the season. For this ninth instalment of the 100% Renault meeting at the Hungaroring, 95,000 spectators answered the invitation of the French carmaker to experience a unique weekend of motor racing.
Under sunny skies and record temperatures it was Egor Orudzhev and Oliver Rowland wining in the Formula Renault 3.5 Series. Jack Aitken and Louis Delétraz triumphed in Eurocup Formula Renault 2.0, while in the Renault Sport Trophy the spoils went to Wolfgang Reip, David Cebrian, Richard Gonda and Steijn Schothorst.
In the paddock, the Renault Village drew large crowds with the display of the Renault Kadjar, the numerous socially aware attractions for every member of the family and Antonio Félix da Costa paced the Infiniti Red Bull Racing F1 Show with a few donuts!
Miklos Marothy, Renault Hungary Managing Director: “One more year, and we are close to 100,000 spectators! The Hungarians adore the idea of mixing races, family shows and varied attractions! At each edition, we have a product event, this time it is the Renault Kadjar.
We make the most of this opportunity to display the latest Renault and Dacia creations alongside the activities where the people can discover the sport by changing tyres for race cars, see a Formula 1 car up close or try the simulators to get a sense of what it is like to be a race car driver.
The World Series by Renault also plays a social role. We brought out firemen to show their know-how in case of a catastrophe, we have a blood donation booth and a much liked activity, focused on guide dogs. Families and enthusiasts were also invited to visit the Renault Club and its collector cars.
In addition to being a democratization of the automobile for the uninitiated, the meeting is also a loyalty implement for our customers, who are our guests for the entire weekend.”
