You are back at Daytona with Risi Competizione and your fellow Competizione GT drivers James, Davide, and Miguel - How do like driving at this iconic race with your Ferrari colleagues?
"Is always a pleasure to start the season with Daytona, one of the most important 24-hour races in the endurance world.
This year to share the car with these guys means to have a very strong line up and to have the best possibility to achieve the result we all want. Knowing each other very well can be a plus in terms of relationship and setup wise."
How do you like running on the banking at Daytona?
"It is great to drive on the banking, and in all the seasons I've been racing, I can only do this in Daytona, so I enjoy every single lap."
You have a great deal of experience in endurance racing, what are the keys to endurance racing and most particularly a 24-hour race?
"The keys in a 24-hour are mainly two, stay out of trouble and not make any mistakes. If you do that at the end of the race you are for sure in a good position, even if in the last few years all the 24-hour races become a sprint race.
But if you want to win it, you have to push like crazy, not make any mistakes and for sure be a little bit lucky."
The Risi Competizione Ferrari team is considered the pinnacle of GT racing, how important is it to you to drive with a team that you know can win races?
"It is probably the most important thing. If you want to win a race like Daytona, the team and car preparation is the base of everything. Knowing I'm driving for such a strong team gives me even more motivation."
What do you like best about driving a Ferrari?
"To drive a Ferrari is always something great, especially the 488 GTE. It is always very well balanced, and I smile every time I drive her.
But even if you get used to driving the 488, you never get used to the feeling of the support from all the Ferrari fans; this is always something special."
