The TC America season fittingly kicked off at the Circuit of The Americas – the venue for the US Grand Prix.


Two Volkswagen Golf GTI TCR drivers – Michael Hurczyn (USA) and Nate Vincent (USA) – were in action in Austin, Texas, and both made it onto the podium.



In an exciting opening race with many overtaking manoeuvres, the drivers from the FCP Euro team were beaten only by Mason Filippi (USA). The Hyundai driver was first across the finish line, followed by Hurczyn in second place and Vincent in third.



The second race was dominated by a long safety car phase at the start. When the drivers did eventually go racing, it was Vincent who pushed hard to catch Filippi.



In the end, however, he had to settle for second place – Hurczyn was third. TC America continues this weekend, when St. Petersburg, Florida (USA), hosts races three and four of the season.
