2019’s blockbuster British GT campaign continues in Belgium this weekend when 41 cars take on one of the world’s most challenging circuits: Spa-Francorchamps.

15 GT3s and 26 GT4s – the latter equalling the record set at Silverstone this year – tackle a two-hour enduro that could directly impact the destination of this year’s titles. Indeed, a big points’ haul at Spa would give current leaders Adam Balon and Phil Keen (Barwell Motorsport) plus Seb Priaulx and Scott Maxwell (Multimatic Motorsports) a chance to wrap up their respective championships with a round to spare at Brands Hatch next month.

The British GT race also headlines SRO Speedweek, which features BRDC British F3, Blancpain GT Sports Club and Caterhams. All feature in British GT’s first-ever live streaming coverage from Spa this Sunday.

LIVE COVERAGE

British GT’s race at Spa will be shown live for the first time ever this Sunday. Watch it live on the championship’s social media platforms and website, as well as SRO’s GT World Youtube channel. Support races are also streamed live on BritishGT.com/live.

TYRE INFORMATION – PIRELLI

Pirelli supplies the GT3 class with the P Zero DHD2 tyre, which was introduced at the start of the 2018 season for GT racing around the world. The GT4 class uses the P Zero DH tyre. In the event of rain, both classes will use the Cinturato WH wet-weather tyre.

Jonathan Wells, Pirelli UK motorsport manager: “The P Zero DHD2 has more competitive mileage around Spa than any other circuit in the world, although that doesn’t mean it’s not without its challenges. Eau Rouge is one of the most recognised corners in the world and there’s good reason for that.

The lateral loading experienced through there and other corners such as Pouhon and Blanchimont makes Spa the most demanding stop on the British GT calendar. It’s somehow appropriate that even at British GT’s only non-British round, the weather is often unpredictable and surprise downpours aren’t unheard of. Pirelli has extensive experience at the Belgian venue though, including our supply of the 24 Hours of Spa so whatever the weather, we will be well-prepared.”
