The Spanish-based team will contest the fourth round of the Euroformula F3 Open and the Spanish Formula 4 Championship this weekend. Drivex arrives in high spirits after the recent results achieved in both feeder series

The 2020 season goes on for Drivex in which will be a very busy weekend ahead for their crews at Monza and Cheste. The Pan-European Euroformula F3 Open and the Spanish Formula 4 Championship have scheduled their fourth round of the season at Italy’s Temple of Speed and Valencia’s twisty layout respectively.

Dutchman Glenn van Berlo will be driving the Drivex-entered Dallara 320 at Monza for another chapter of his learning process in the Formula 3-based racing series. Van Berlo scored his best result of the season in Spielberg by finishing fifth in Race 2 two weeks ago.

The young talent is making huge progress in the Euroformula F3 Open after starting the season with no experience at all in the Dallara-built machinery. Van Berlo currently sits third in the Rookies’ classification on 38 points, just six behind current leaders Niklas Krütten and Sebastian Estner.

Monza’s ultra-fast layout always features closely-fought races with drivers fighting for keeping in the slipstream of cars ahead. Van Berlo will be aiming at extending there his podium streak despite the circuit is another step into the unknown for him.

Unlike previous rounds, the Italian venue will include three instead of two races to compensate the loss of one round in the revised Euroformula F3 Open calendar following COVID-19 pandemic. Race 1 is scheduled on Saturday at 14.30 with the remaining two races taking place on Sunday at 11.50 and 16.40, always streamed live on Euroformula F3 Open’s channel on YouTube.

Drivex will field up to six F4 Tatuus-Abarth cars at Circuit de la Comunitat Valenciana Ricardo Tormo setting its sights on podium finishes again. Besides, there will be interesting novelties as Manuel Silva will make his debut in the Formula 4-based racing series at the wheel of one of the Drivex-entered cars. Silva is another emerging talent who joins the talent pool of the Spanish team.

Denmark’s Valdemar Eriksen, defending the FA Racing by Drivex colors, claimed his first win in the FIA-sanctioned racing series just a few days ago and the Dane and his teammate Ivan Nosov, who finished fourth twice in Jerez, were strong contenders throughout the weekend. Eriksen and Nosov are expecting another strong run in Valencia, where the team carried out valuable preseason testing and it will be a valuable starting point for the weekend.

Frenchman Augustin Collinot, who missed the Jerez round, is back with Drivex to keep in podium contention. Swiss female driver Lena Bühler and Frenchman Paul-Adrien Pallot will have another chance to continue growing in their racing careers and they want to deliver remarkable performances in Cheste.

Race 1 is scheduled on Saturday at 16.50 with Race 2 and Race 3 taking place on Sunday at 11.45 and 14.35 respectively. The action of F4 racing will be streamed live on LaLigaSports’ website.

Miguel Ángel de Castro (Team Principal):
“Motorsport is always a challenge and this is one is going to be even harder as we have two racing appointments at the same time in different places. But we will take the most out of our racing experience to make sure everything goes according to plan at Monza and Valencia.

Glenn is making an impression on his season debut in the F3 Open. As I always say, it will be only his fourth meeting in the championship and he managed to secure his first top-5 finish at Red Bull Ring battling with much more experienced drivers. I have no doubts he will be another strong force in contention at Monza.

Our last event in the Spanish Formula 4 was also encouraging with Valdemar securing his maiden win in the series just a few days ago. In the same line, Ivan also completed a very remarkable weekend in Jerez. And it is also a pleasure to have Augustin making his comeback with us in Valencia.

Lena and Paul-Adrien will take another step forward in terms of performance in Valencia as they perfectly know the track from preseason testing. Of course, I want to warmly welcome Manuel into the Drivex family. He is a young talent who will make his debut in the series this weekend, and everybody is working to make him this first taste of racing less difficult.”
