DS TECHEETAH is delighted to announce that its sim driver, Arthur Lehouck, will together with Virtual 24hrs Le Mans 2020 winner, Nikodem Wisniewski, represent the double championship winning team in Formula E’s new Esports program, Accelerate.
 


Both drivers are part of DS TECHEETAH’s technical partner MAHLE’s Esports team and this activation is a joint collaboration between the brands.
 


Accelerate is Formula E’s second Esports product on rFactor2 and is a six-race competition that kicks off at the end of January and concludes in March with a grand finale that offers double points. This time the sim racers will face new challenges as they will have to master energy management and ATTACK MODE for the first time, bringing the online competitors even closer to the real sporting product.
 


The virtual races will take place at inch-perfect digital recreations of the tracks from the real-world Formula E locations such as Hong Kong’s Harbourfront, Red Hood in New York City and Berlin’s Tempelhof Airport where DS TECHEETAH claimed its back-to-back double championship titles last year.
 


The 24 sim racers will be gunning for a €100,000 prize pot and the ultimate all-electric driving experience of taking the Gen2 car for some laps around a Formula E circuit during an E-Prix weekend.

It won’t be the same platform and same equipment as we deal with in real life, but my goal is the same as when we operate the real DS TECHEETAH sim, to manage my energy and to go as fast as possible with the energy I have to finish in the best possible position.


 rFactor2 is something that is completely new to me so I’m putting in a lot of hours to get on top of it and be ready to fight with the best.”
