The countdown to the start of the 2021 season of the Italian Gran Turismo Championship says that there are two and a half months to go before the engines start up in the Villa Reale park at Monza. But in the meantime, what keeps the teams busy is the preparation of driver contracts, workshop work and, above all, the winter tests that are the consequence of the first and second activities.


 On 16 and 17 February Vallelunga will host two days of testing for covered cars and Nova Race team will be present for the first time with two cars at the same time on the same track to face the competition, just on the same track where he made his debut the first Honda NSX GT3 Evo in an event valid for the Italian championship in the last race of last season.



During the test days of next Tuesday and Wednesday Nova Race will unveil the livery that will distinguish in 2021 the wonderful Gran Turismo built in Italy by the historical partner of the Japanese manufacturer JAS Motorsport.


The 2021 livery has been created by Maurizio Cauri Design who has always cultivated this passion. "The inspiration came from following the guidelines of the official Honda livery, readjusting the colours and adding a few details," said Maurizio Cauri.


At the wheel of the NSX GT3 Evo there will be Jacopo Guidetti from Brescia (chosen by JAS Motorsport and Honda for the Driver Development Programme reserved for promising drivers) and Luca Magnoni from Varese, who is making his comeback in GT3 fresh from the GT4Am Endurance title obtained thanks to the Nova Race department engaged in parallel with the Mercedes AMG GT4.


At the Piero Taruffi circuit they will be joined by other drivers seriously interested in participating in the first full program of the Japanese cars in an Italian GT championship. The development session scheduled at Campagnano di Roma is the first in a series of set-up tests before the twin debut races on the tricolour GT Sprint calendar at Monza over the first weekend in May.

The tests will be behind closed doors, but fans and supporters of GT drivers and the Varese team will be able to follow the live timing provided by the organiser and the full results on the website www.kateyama.ch .
