The 50th running of the ADAC TotalEnergies 24h Nürburgring is on the verge of a thrilling finale. On Sunday morning, both Mercedes-AMG Team GetSpeed cars were able to establish themselves more and more firmly on course for a podium finish.


Especially the #3 Mercedes-AMG GT3 managed to increase the pressure on the race-leading Audi in the process. Lap after lap, Adam Christodoulou (GBR), Maximilian Götz (GER) and Fabian Schiller (GER) reduced the gap to the race leader and are in a direct duel for the lead.


The two GT3s run by Mercedes-AMG Team BILSTEIN, the #6 and #12 cars, also continue to post fast lap times and are in seventh and eighth place prior to the final part of the race. Around noon, rain setting in at parts of the track added to the excitement, so that the tyre strategy could turn into a decisive factor for the closing stages.

Adam Christodoulou, Mercedes-AMG Team GetSpeed #3: “We have done our utmost to reduce the gap to the leaders. We still can’t afford any mistakes, but in this race, that is also a matter of luck.“



Daniel Juncadella, Mercedes-AMG Team GetSpeed #4: “So far, it has been a pretty wild race. Due to unfortunate code-60 phases, we weren’t able to reduce our gap for a long time. Now, the decisive moments of the race start. We will see whether the rain still mixes up things and how we will position ourselves. The team is doing a very good job and I am happy to currently see both cars of the team this far up.”



Marvin Dienst, Mercedes-AMG Team BILSTEIN #6: “Our goal is to bring first place in Pro-Am home. Light rain has been forecast later in the day as well, so that will make the race even more difficult, but also more exciting. We will play it safely and don’t take any unnecessary risks anymore today.”




Luca Stolz, Mercedes-AMG Team BILSTEIN #12: “Currently, we are relatively quite far down on first place. When we now make clever decisions in the rain and have a little bit of luck, anything is still possible for us as well. The team is doing a super job and I hope that a good result is in store at the end for us as well.”
