RESULTS FROM FD PROSPEC QUALIFYING

1.    Tommy Lemaire (Canada) – Mspek TLO Nissan S14.5
2.    Dmitriy Brutskiy – DriftHQ / Link ECU / ISC Suspension / Enkei Wheels BMW M3 with Royal Purple
3.    Alex Jagger (USA) – Forsberg Racing Nissan 370Z
 



NOTES



•    Old Bridge Township Raceway Park in Englishtown hosts the second round of the 2022 Formula DRIFT Link ECU PROSPEC Championship as well as Round 4 of the FD PRO Championship


•    The Englishtown track is the first dedicated drift arena in the USA, featuring tiered grandstands to ensure fans catch all the action


•    The weather was warm and dry, so wasn’t a factor during qualification


•    Formula DRIFT reintroduced championship points for the top three drivers in the FCP Euro Knockout Qualifying to reward a consistent weekend performance

•    All PROSPEC teams must use Link ECU engine management as well as GT Radial tires supplied and fitted by TireStacks.com


•    Throdle, FCP Euro and Royal Purple contingency programs are available for PROSEPC competitors who meet the defined criteria


•    Top qualifier Lemaire scored 93 points and will benefit from a bye run through the Top 32 competition heats


•    Second-place Brutskiy and third-place Jagger both scored 91 points, with two additional style points putting Brutskiy on top


•    Two-time and reigning PROSPEC Champion Brutskiy will be hoping for a better weekend than the opening round in order to mount a defense of his title


•    Top Rookie qualifier was Robert Thorne (USA) who scored 81 points, placing his ASMotorsport / Kats Coin BMW M3 in fifth place


•    32 drivers qualified for positions in the Top 32 competition heats. Unfortunately, Lukas Torno (Brazil) was unable to complete a qualifying run and was eliminated, resulting in Lemaire’s bye run
