United Autosports return to Monza for the fourth round of the Michelin Le Mans Cup after a challenging two-race Road to Le Mans two weeks ago.
 


John Schauerman and Wayne Boyd sit fourth in the championship, a single point away from the top-three. The #23 Ligier JSP320 has already finished second this season, the duo finishing on the podium at Imola, a goal no different heading to Monza.


 
Max Lynn in #2 car will be joined by Andrew Haddon, in place of his father Shaun Lynn, as Shaun prioritises Le Mans Classic commitments. Monza will be Andrew’s debut with the team, however, like Shaun, has raced in many historic categories and cars, his most recent success wining the 2021 Spa Six Hours Classic in a Lotus Elan.
 


For Andres Latorre and Garnet Patterson, Monza will be a chance to refocus after a difficult weekend at Le Mans, with a DNF in the first race, and damage sustained throughout the weekend. Daniel Schneider and Andy Meyrick in the #32 are looking to change their luck at the ‘Temple of Speed’ after last year’s unfortunate withdrawal ahead of the race.

Max Lynn:

“Being able to race at Monza again is always amazing, the circuit is so fast and challenging. Due to a clash with Le Mans Classics, I will be racing with a close family friend, Andrew Haddon, instead of my father at the Monza weekend. After another big step forward in the previous races at Le Mans, myself and Andrew will be looking to have a very positive weekend in Monza.”
 


Andrew Haddon:

“Shaun and I have raced together and, also recently, Max in some of Shaun's and my historic cars, with good success.
Due to Shaun's other racing commitments, I've been given a fabulous opportunity to race with Max at Monza. Whilst it’s not my first time there in a prototype, it is a considerably newer one! I’m sure the competition will be fierce but I will be focusing on handing the car over to Max in one piece.”

John Schauerman:

“Monza is one of my favourite tracks on the MLMC calendar. The history and the vibe at Monza makes for an excellent weekend. We just missed a podium at Le Mans so we will be hoping to get back there this weekend. Our car was fast at Le Mans and this should help us at the temple of speed that is Monza!”
 



Wayne Boyd:

“I can’t wait for the next round of Le Mans Cup at Monza. We’re in a strong position in the championship, just a point behind being in the top three so we’ll be pushing for another strong result. John and I have been fast there the last few seasons so I have high hopes!”

Daniel Schneider:

“I definitely have unfinished business with Monza. Experienced my first lap in an LMP3 car there and fell in love with the circuit, but I have never been able to finish a race at the Temple of Speed due to a gearbox issue in 2020 and suffering with a kidney stone in 2021. I definitely have high expectations this time and I’m very much looking forward to race there.”
 

Andy Meyrick:


“Monza is a really exciting historic track, it’s always a pleasure to race there and it would be great to get a good result there.

The nature of the circuit lends itself well to exciting racing so I can’t wait to hit the track. The past two years have not been kind to us, but I am determined that we will change that come next weekend.”


 
Le Mans Cup Team Manager Charlie Kemp:

"We as a team love Monza and all our drivers love Monza so we will be looking to bounce back as a whole after a tricky Road to Le Mans. It’s great to welcome Ralph Haddon into the fold for this weekend to take the place of Shaun and I am sure he will get to grips with the car and series in no time.
