The Huddersfield racer makes the long trip to the Kent circuit embroiled in a four-way fight for eighth in the championship standings - with just 22 points covering a quartet of drivers all looking to secure the position.



A strong weekend on track will give Daniel the opportunity to secure a new personal best championship finish as he bids to better the eleventh place finish he claimed last season.



The 30-year-old currently holds the same position in the standings going into the final three races but will hope to benefit from the pace in his EXCELR8 Motorsport-run Hyundai to challenge at the sharp end of the grid.



Daniel has strong form around the Brands Hatch GP circuit in the past, which includes a podium finish last season, and similar results this time around will go a long way towards achieving his goal of breaking back into the championship top ten.



Three solid results would also allow Daniel to sign off a challenging season on a high as he turns focus towards the 2023 campaign, when he will hope to return to the BTCC grid for a third straight year.



"Brands Hatch GP is my favourite circuit on the BTCC calendar and I can’t wait to get back out on track this weekend for the season finale," he said.



"There were times this season when I didn’t think we’d even reach this point after what happened at Oulton Park, so I have to give huge thanks to the sponsors who have stepped up to support me, and also to the fans who purchased the various packages that we launched - some of whom joined me at Donington Park this past week for the passenger laps that we offered.



"Although there is the opportunity to score my highest championship in the BTCC so far, I’m not feeling any pressure going into the weekend and I just want to try and build on the strong results I’ve had at Brands Hatch in the past, including last year with the podium finish.



"I feel we’ve been a bit hard done by in qualifying in the last few rounds which has then impacted on our results on Sunday when the championship is so competitive, but I’m confident that with the set-up with have on the car, we can be right in the mix for a good weekend to end the year on a high.



"A strong end to last season played a big part in me being able to put the deals in place to return to this BTCC this year and I want to make sure I go into the off-season in a similar place this time around. Bring it on!"



Qualifying on Saturday will air on the ITV website from 15:40, with the three Sunday races on ITV4 HD scheduled for 11:30, 14:30 and 17:15. Live timing throughout will be available on TSL Timing.
