Many innovations in the DNLS presented by Goodyear 22/23

On Saturday, 19 November, the Digital Nürburgring Endurance Series presented by Goodyear will kick off the new season. Five races are scheduled in the digital Nordschleife championship. And the 22/23 season comes up with a number of new features.
The most obvious change compared to last year are the different race distances that will be completed over the winter. In addition to the familiar 3-hour races, there will be two races over 3.5 hours, with the finale over 4 hours. The new distances offer the teams more strategic possibilities.
Race drivers from real motorsport are still compulsory in the SP9 class. The prerequisite is an International C-driver's licence. In addition, at least five participations in classification at the NLS or a start at the 24h race at the Nürburgring must be proven.
The classification of the simracing drivers is new: pilots who have an iRating in the simulation iRacing of more than 7,500 points are considered Platinum simracers. Only one of them is allowed per vehicle.
Up to 60 vehicles can take part in a race, divided into the classes SP9, SP10, Cup 2 and SP3T. In the premier class, BMW M4 GT3, Lamborghini Huracan GT3 EVO, Mercedes-AMG GT3 and Porsche 911 GT3 R will be driven. In the GT4 class, BMW M4 GT4 and Mercedes-AMG GT4 will start.
Cup 2 is reserved for the Porsche 911 GT3 Cup (992), while SP3T will be contested for the first time with Hyundai Elantra N TCR.
The livestream, which brings the digital racing action in the Green Hell to the home screen, will also be upgraded 22/23. The opening show will be in the new format and will get into the racing action as early as qualifying for the 'small' classes. The SP9 qualifying will be broadcast in full length afterwards.
Another fundamental innovation is the integration of the DNLS Community Cup into the DNLS. The races for everyone will be held in the summer of 2023, with the winner receiving a wildcard to participate in the DNLS season 23/24.
