OK – It is not easy to win at the beginning of a championship with a new project, even more if we do win twice in a row. After the victory at Lonato, the new VTS engine once again takes the lead in the Senior category and does so with an authoritative double win in the final. In the qualifyings already, Vortex records the best time of 46.314 seconds, thanks to David Walther (Koski Motorsport).



Then, during the qualifying heats, Vortex engines conquer not less than 3 victories (50% of the scheduled races), 1 second place, 2 third places and 1 fastest lap. At the end of the pre-finals Walther secures his pole position for the final, on a starting grid that sees around 30% of drivers equipped with Vortex engines.



The decisive race of the weekend sees the OTK Kart Group's "engine division" take the lead: Walther holds the top position after the start and does not leave it until the chequered flag, "accompanied" by Jimmy Helias (Ward Racing). The two drivers monopolise the attention giving life to an exciting long-distance duel, but the Danish drivers holds the pressure well and thus returns to victory after winning the WSK Champions Cup last month, while the French driver collects his second consecutive podium.



The championship still sees James Egozi (Tony Kart Racing Team) in the lead, triumphant in the first round at Lonato and seventh classified at Franciacorta.



KZ2 - A weekend to remember for our VTZ engine in the shifter class. Tom Leuillet (Tony Kart Racing Team) opens the weekend with the best time in the free practice and the pole position in the qualifyings. The French driver continues with two victories and a fastest lap in the qualifying heats, wins the A pre-final on Sunday morning and leads the afternoon final with a gap of over two seconds over his direct rivals.



 Also Jean Luyet (Tony Kart Racing Team), able of climbing up position after position throughout the entire event, and Norton Andreasson (Tony Kart Racing Team), author among other things of a third place in the eliminatory heats, attend the final.



OKJ - Vortex already achieves in the qualifying the second best time in the second group, with Davide Bottaro (Tony Kart Racing Team), and steadily improves its results until collecting in the qualifying heats a total of 6 victories (nearly 40% of the heats), 4 second places, 7 third places and 3 fastest laps. In the finals, some 30% of the drivers mount a Vortex engine.



On the podium at Lonato after an extraordinary comeback from the bottom of the standings, is Salim Hanna (Ricky Flynn Motorsport) who also confirms his place at the top of the standings at Franciacorta with a solid fifth position. Kirill Dzitiev (Tony Kart Racing Team) and Scott Kin Lindblom (Tony Kart Racing Team) recover not less than 10 and 8 positions, respectively, both in the Top 10.



Bottaro also climbs considerably the ranking for a total of 16 positions, as well as Alp Hasan Aksoy (Tony Kart Racing Team) with 19 positions more than at the start; between the two teammates is Alfie Slater (Ricky Flynn Motorsport). What a pity for Elliot Kaczynski (Ward Racing), who starts from the front row and is pushed out at the second corner, however the Swedish driver does not give up and brings his race to an end.



MINI - In the U10 category, Eskandari-Marandi (Tony Kart Racing Team) shows all the value of the new Vortex VTM unit, by taking the absolute pole position in the Friday's chrono practices. The Australian subsequently collects two podiums in the qualifying heats: only a penalty for the wrong front fairing position in the last heat, penalises him on the starting grid of the final, which he nevertheless finishes in the Top 10, after a comeback of seven positions. Ilie Tristan Crisan (Tony Kart Racing Team) and Ludovico Mazzola (Tony Kart Racing Team) show off their skills in the


MINI Gr.3: the Canadian driver collects a third place in the B pre-final, while the Italian is third in his qualifying group and finishes the weekend in the top ten.
