Since 1999 it is hard to imagine motorsport without KW automotive GmbH. In the Nürburgring Endurance Series, the company from Fichtenberg equips about 50 per cent of the field with its suspension applications. And KW remains loyal to the series: the partnership with the VLN was extended by one year.



In the NLS, vehicles of different classes compete against each other. The range extends from close-to-production racing touring cars to full-blown GT3 racers. And the wide range does not end with the vehicle manufacturers and their models.



The unique Nordschleife racing series also offers a welcome field of activity for the segment of automotive equipment manufacturers and suppliers to compete in the sporting arena. One of them is KW automotive GmbH, which is strongly represented on the Nordschleife with its sporty suspension components. Around half of the field of participants relies on products from KW - from 'Grello', the spectacular Porsche 911 GT3 R from Manthey Racing, to the iconic Opel Manta.


"It's great when existing partnerships are continued," says Michel Pathe, Managing Director of VLN VV GmbH & Co. KG. "KW lives and breathes competition on the track in the NLS and is committed to the series. A large part of our teams relies on KW's products and we are grateful for their commitment."



In the Green Hell, the suspension plays a special role - more than on any other race track. 70 bends and the distinctive topography are a great challenge. Here, it is important to always ensure the best possible connection between tyres and asphalt, because only then can propulsion be implemented accordingly. And this is exactly where KW's racing suspensions come into their own.



"In no other racing series are so many different vehicles in action together on the track," says KW automotive Managing Director Jürgen Wohlfarth. "For this reason, the NLS is an optimal field of activity for us. This is where a large part of our product development takes place and we are happy to pass on our know-how to our customers. On the other hand, the knowledge gained from motorsport also flows directly back into product development for us."



Opportunities to further improve the set-up of their race cars are offered by the Nürburgring's test and set-up days from 10 to 12 March. One week later - on 18 March - the NLS will start the new season with the 68th ADAC Westfalenfahrt.
