Trident Racing took two more points finishes in the International F.Master round held this weekend at Imola. The second race, contested today, handed Harald Schlegelmilch a well-deserved fourth place, while Esteban Gutierrez ended up in 7th after yesterday`s podium finish at his debut.
Schlegelmilch will keep the fight for third place in standings high in the final round of the 2008 season, starting at Monza in two weeks. Esteban ended his weekend like it started, showing an impressive potential and learning a whole new environment in a surprisingly short amount of time. Trident Racing will now be focused on its home event, also the final round of its first year in F.Master.

"After yesterday`s great race, the first Italian weekend of the International Formula Master series ended in an extremely positive way today at Imola, with both Harald Schlegelmilch and Esteban Gutierrez ending up in the points zone.
Harald took a valuable 4th place finish thanks to a clever race, keeping his chances to fight for third place intact, while Esteban once again shown his outstanding talent despite suffering from a couple of unlucky moments. Since his brake pedal got longer, he had to change his balance and adapt his style to the new situation.
Despite he was just at his second race in the series he understood what the problem was and managed to fix it, losing just one spot to Fabio Leimer who could also count on a fresher engine. Esteban is still the main surprise of the weekend, as he did more than just clinching a podium finish at his debut, while Harald was really smart and made good steps in standings.
I want to thank all the technicians and the Trident Racing staff, as the great job made by the team was crowned by the two drivers` great performances all-week long. We`re now heading towards the last round of the season, scheduled on our home track, Monza, ending our first season in the series".

JD Motorsport's Chris van der Drift claimed his sixth pole of the season today for Formula Master's round 13 in Imola, Italy, with a best time of 1:39.065.
The New Zealander secured pole position just 0.029 seconds ahead of title rival Fabio Leimer, driving for Jenzer Motorsport, whose best lap of 1:39.094 awarded him a front row start for tomorrow's race.

Michael Ammermüller claimed his and the Iris Project team's first ever Formula Master win in round ten of the Series today, at Brands Hatch, England.
Starting from third, the German overtook second-place man Michele Caliendo at the start before being promoted to the lead when ISR's Tim Sandtler spun out of the race on lap six following a safety car period.
