Kevin Doran chooses Matteo Bobbi for the 24h of Daytona
20.01.2009: After the positive tests held at the beginning of January, the 2009 season of Matteo Bobbi is about to start this Saturday with one of the most fascinating endurance races of the world: the 24 Hours of Daytona.

After the positive tests held at the beginning of January, the 2009 season of Matteo Bobbi is about to start this Saturday with one of the most fascinating endurance races of the world: the 24 Hours of Daytona.
Kevin Doran, Doran Racing's team owner, officialized a few days ago in a note his choice for the crew driving the number 77 Dallara-Ford: Matteo Bobbi will share the cockpit with Fabrizio Gollin, Memo Gidley and Brad Jaeger.
The car will be sponsored by Mc Donald's, the fast food leader in USA thanks to their more than 14.000 restaurants all over the States.
The race will have a wide television coverage in Europe too: Eurosport 2 will follow the first two and half hours starting from 20.30 GMT, which will be followed by frequent updates. On the Internet, the website www.grand-am.com will offer live timing of the event.
Matteo Bobbi:
"What emerged from tests two weeks ago makes us fairly optimist for the 24h. We are a fast and highly experienced crew, while the car proved to be reliable and fast.
Personally, Daytona attracts me as much as few other races do, and I also have a bone to pick up: in 2005 I finished fifth after seeing the podium vanishing in the final two hour due to a trivial electric problem. This time I hope things will go better and to cross the chequered flag within the first positions!".
