At the Bridgestone Cup and WSK, there were new triumphs and podiums to be added to the already long roll of honour of the Italian brand in 2009. WSK: Energy Corse Is Vice Champion in KF2

The Energy-Fly Kart Team definitely belongs to the much closed circle of those structures capable of imposing themselves in major European CIK or WSK competitions. In Lonato (Italy), at the final round of the WSK, Nicolaj Moller-Madsen once again stood up to the specialists of the KF2 category.

Starting in 5th place in the pre-final, the 2009 German Champion staged a great race on the attack and imposed himself with his Energy-TM kart after overtaking several of his rivals. In the final, unfortunately he wasted some precious time at the start of the race. When he was in second place, he quickly began to regain ground over the leader, but he did not have enough time to reach first place.

The competitiveness of Energy chassis was confirmed once again by performances shown by Mans Grenhagen (winner of one heat), Joel Johansson (third in the WSK standings), as well as the British JRP Team. JRP has recently chosen to work in partnership with Energy and has brought its drivers Max Goff and James Dixon along. In a category such as KF3 where the Energy-Fly Kart Team often showed superb performances, young karters like Dennis Olsen, Luca Caspari and Jordan King (JRP) achieved some pretty good results in Lonato.


Bridgestone Cup: What a Success for Energy!

Though just in his first season in KZ2, Paolo De Conto gave a karting master class in the final race of the European Bridgestone Cup, arriving ahead of former European Champion Toninelli. Even less experienced, Joel Johansson climbed to the third step of the podium.

Counting Adam Janous, Mirko Colombo and Michaël Engstrom, there were at least 5 Energy drivers in the top 10! Third in KF3 with Luca Caspari, Energy-Fly Kart completed a double with Nicolaj Moller-Madsen and Mans Grenhagen in KF2. A perfect success!

"Once again, we left nothing to chance and our hard work has been rewarding. Not just with one driver, but with our whole team. All our technical staff, including GKS and Rizzi, showed a very professional but serene attitude, so our drivers were always in the best state of mind for racing. As for results, I am very satisfied with the last two rounds in Lonato.

Joel Johansson, Nicolaj Moller-Madsen and Mans Grenhagen are all three in the top 6 of the WSK KF2, and thanks to them Energy Corse is vice champion in the Eurocup team standings.

At the Bridgestone Cup, the Energy brand had the greatest visibility, with a double success in KF2, the 1st and 3rd places in KZ2 and a podium in KF3! After all these great results, we can prepare the 2010 season even better. Meanwhile, we will try and achieve some more excellent results at the Supernationals final round in Las Vegas".
