Pit notes - Pescarolo- Ferrari collision and more

11h59 #35 Pescarolo and #90 Ferrari collide

At 11:54 the #35 Saulnier Racing, Pescarolo Judd driven by Lahaye had a big spin at the Ford Chicane. During the spin the #35 car hit the #90 Farnbacher Racing, Ferrari F430 GT driven by the innocent Ehret. It was a heavy impact that not only damaged the #35 Pescarolo Judd but more unfortunately the #90 Ferrari also suffered some serious body damage as well. The Ferrari made it back to pits and the team replaced the door and sorted out the damage to the rear bodywork.
Things were more serious for the #35 Pescarolo because the impact destroyed the rear end of the car and debris got scattered all over the track. The #35 Pescarolo did eventually make it back to the pits but the team have a lot of work to do if they want to get the car back into the race.
- 11h40 Puncture on Zytek #32
The Zytek #32 went straight on at the Playstation chicane. The flapping tread of its left rear tyre damaged the body on the rear and the tail. Stuart Moseley came back slowly to the pits for repairs and was back on track shortly after. The Zytek is now at the 27th place.
- 11h17 Creation Judd #23 retires
Willman in Creation Judd #23 breaks the gearbox at the second Mulsanne chicane and retires.
10h59 Audi maintain lead.
After 10 hours of racing, the Audi #2 maintains a one lap advantage over the chasing Peugeots #7 and #9.
In LM P2 the #34 Van Merksteijn Motorsport, Porsche RS Spyder Van of Merksteijn Verstappen and Bleekemolen holds the top spot, and in LM GT1 the Aston #009 has been circulating like clockwork in front of Corvette #63.
The Risi Ferrari #82 continues its place at the head of the LM GT2 class.
10:06 #21 officially retired because of gearbox problem
10:17 Dome #11 went off the track, but back in the race.
10:23 Courage #22 retired.
10:23 #007 is given a warning to "respect the track" - for going straight over Ford chicane.
10:26 #2 Audi changing to intermediates
10:29 #3 Audi in pits - rain tyres very worn, intermediates on.
10:31 #11 Dome no lights.
10:36 #1 Audi mis-negotiates Ford chicane, heavy understeer - apparently no damage.
10:45 #1 Audi in the pits for repairs.
10:46 #11 dome into barriers at Michelin. Returning to pits, without nose.
10:51 #31 LM P2 Porsche Spyder has gained speed again after having replaced most of the electronics early this morning - now up to 2nd in class again.
10:59 #7 Peugeot unlaps itself.
