Midnight summary: Peugeot still leading

Although Peugeot has been leading almost all the race since the start this afternoon at 15:00 the French cars are racing against strong opponents. The Audi R10 #2 driven by McNish, Kristensen and Capello took the first place several times due the refuelling stops for of the Peugeots. The Audis are not as fast as the Peugeots but unlike them, have been racing without any failure or exits from the track.

The Peugeot #8 is also back in 6th position. The petrol cars of Courage-Oreca, Pescarolo and Dome are very close behind the 6 first opponents Peugeot and the Dome #11 is facing engine problems.

The Porsche #31 of Team Essex lost the first position of LMP2 category after a puncture. The Porsche #32 of Van Merksteijen Motorsport is now leading. The Corvette #63 lost the first position of LM GT1 and Aston Martin #009 is now leading.

Only the Porsche #77 remains against the Ferraris in the LM GT2 category. The cars have been racing for almost an hour and the teams are hoping for a "quiet" night and a good weather. The forecast for tomorrow has a slight risk of rain in the morning.
