„2012 gehen wir bereits in unsere sechste Saison mit Renault Sport F1 als Motorenpartner. In dieser Zeit haben wir gemeinsam große Erfolge errungen – 27 Grand Prix-Siege, 65 Podiumsplatzierungen, 38 Pole Positions und vier Weltmeistertitel.
Dabei verläuft die Zusammenarbeit mit Renault Sport F1 stets sehr zielgerichtet, was uns angesichts des hohen Entwicklungs–tempos dieses Sports einen großen Vorteil bietet. Seit 2007 hat sich unsere Partnerschaft kontinuierlich weiterentwickelt; im vergangenen Jahr ist aus ihr sogar eine technische Kooperation auf höchstem Niveau entstanden.
Hierauf werden wir in dieser Saison und für die Zukunft aufbauen, denn unser Erfolgshunger ist nach wie vor ungestillt. 2014 tritt ein neues Motorenreglement in Kraft, das V6-Aggregate vorsieht. Unser Ziel ist es, uns gemeinsam mit Renault Sport F1 bestmöglich auf diese Herausforderung vorzubereiten. Dies betrifft den Sechszylinder ebenso wie seine Integration in unser Chassis.“
