In a month's time, Europe's fastest racing series will be back on the throttle – in three racing classes in a minimum of twelve races in five different countries.

-    Only here: the world’s most powerful formula cars united

-    Season starts at the traditional Hockenheim Historic (6–8 May)

-    Fans are welcome in the paddock area

The BOSS GP Racing Series will continue to offer participants and fans a spectacle for all the senses in 2022. Seven racing events on the best and safest racetracks in Europe are planned for the Big Open Single Seater. The fastest monopostos of the past 25 years will be brought to life and moved with purpose in this series.

These include Formula 1 cars, IndyCars, Formula 2 or GP2 racing cars and cars from the World Series by Renault. However, single seaters such as the Rodin FZED or Lotus T125, which are specially designed for use on track days and for gentleman drivers, can also be part of this unique competition.

Young class for six-cylinder cars

With the still young class of SUPER LIGHTS, Formula 3000 cars and cars of the World Series by Nissan with six-cylinder engines get an extra boost.

As in the other two classes OPEN and FORMULA, SUPER LIGHTS will have its own award ceremony and an official BOSS GP champion crowned at the end of the year. For fans, the new class is also easily identifiable by the starting numbers between 100 and 999.

Highest safety standards guaranteed

The 28th season of the genuine Big Open Single Seater Series will start at the beginning of May and continue until November 2022, thus ensuring a largely trouble-free season even under the circumstances of the COVID pandemic.

The race calendar includes only Formula 1 and MotoGP level circuits. This guarantees the teams a modern infrastructure at the race venue and the drivers high safety standards.

From Hockenheim to Misano

The first two of the twelve confirmed races in 2022 will take place at the Bosch Hockenheim Historic (6 to 8 May). This will be followed by the home event of the Austria-based race series at the Red Bull Ring on 4 and 5 June. One of the season highlights is the return to "Paul Ricard" for the French Historic Grand Prix (17-19 June) two weeks later. Another race is scheduled for the summer, but confirmation is still pending.

From 9 to 11 September, the BOSS GP Racing Series will once again be the main act at the Masaryk Racing Days in Brno. The season ends with an Italian double: first, on 14, 15 and 16 October, there will be a race at "Forza Fanatec" in Mugello, then at the "Pirelli Grande Finale" in Misano (4-6 November) it will be decided which drivers will secure championship honours in 2022.

As close as possible to Formula 1

Some of the races can be attended by the whole family free of charge, and at larger events such as the Jim Clark Revival at the Hockenheimring, tickets can be purchased at affordable prices (weekend from 45 euros in advance at www.hockenheim-historic.de/en).

In addition, there is the opportunity to visit the paddock at all races. Fans can look over the shoulders of the race mechanics at work, take photos of ten-cylinder engines or even dive into petrol talks with the pilots.

Dario Pergolini, new series coordinator of the BOSS GP Racing Series:
"We have so many great teams and drivers from all over continental Europe, the UK and the USA who are loyal to our racing series.

Every season we want to offer them a professional platform in which formula cars of the highest class can be driven in a proper way on selected racetracks with the highest FIA safety standards – something that is only possible in the BOSS GP Racing Series!"
