° World-class line-up of nine different brands for third consecutive season

° Bigger-than-ever field features 31 teams spread across three classes

With an incredible 52 full-season entries confirmed for 2023, the GT4 European Series heads into its second consecutive record-breaking campaign.

The numbers are quite simply dazzling. Following remarkable growth over the past few years – from 37 full-season entries in 2021 to a record 50 last year – the GT4 European Series has further enhanced its status as the go-to competition in global GT4 racing.

52 cars run by 31 teams from 10 different countries – both also records – will battle it out over 12 races at six legendary tracks during the 2023 season.

Nine brands

For the third year in succession, the GT4 European Series grid will feature cars from nine different manufacturers, all returning from 2022. With cars from German, French, British, Japanese and American brands, the diversity on the grid remains as solid as ever, presenting a real treat for all motorsport fans.

As usual, the quartet of premium German marques are strongly represented with teams entering the Audi R8 LMS GT4 (eight cars), the all-new G82-series BMW M4 GT4 (four cars), the Mercedes-AMG GT4 (six cars) and an extended line-up of Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS ClubSport (11 cars).

This year's most popular brand, however, is from Britain, as an impressive line-up of 14 Aston Martin AMR GT4 has been confirmed for the season. The French flag will be flown by the Alpine GT4 EVO (five cars), which returns with new upgrades, while three major crowd-pleasers complete the grid: the brand-new McLaren Artura with two cars and the Chevrolet Camaro GT4.R and Toyota GR Supra GT4 Evo, each with one full-season entry.

Strong competition in all three classes

The 52 full-season entries will provide for exciting competition in all three classes. The Silver Cup contenders will battle it out in a strong field of no less than 23 cars. In Pro-Am, a very healthy 13 cars will head out on-track, while the Am-category continues to prove itself an ideal stepping-stone into GT4 racing with a solid grid of already 11 cars. Five cars on the entry list are still to be ranked.

Among the strong field confirmed for the Silver Cup, seven teams are ambitious newcomers to the GT4 European Series. In Pro-Am and Am class, honours will be fought over by 11 different teams in each class, both also welcoming multiple (three and four respectively) new teams to the series.

Spectacular grid further extended at two events

With a nearly fully packed grid confirmed for the season, as well as a number of race-by-race entries to be expected, SRO Motorsports Group continues to seek out fresh opportunities. This will result in two even more spectacular events in 2023, as the GT4 Scandinavia competitors will further expand the grid by at least 11 cars at Circuit Paul Ricard and Spa-Francorchamps.

All rounds of the GT4 European Series will once again run in support of Fanatec GT World Challenge Europe Powered by AWS, ensuring a presence at the world's biggest GT weekends at top tracks, with strong media coverage and an opportunity for teams to combine entries with a campaign in other classes.

Laurent Gaudin, GT4 European Series General Manager: “We are extremely happy to fill our grid with 52 cars, the season record to date for our series. Such an impressive number of cars, which will be even bigger when GT4 Scandinavia joins us at two events, is a dream for racing fans.

Having said that, we are also aware of the challenges presented by this immense grid and will take the necessary measures to ensure that races can run in the best possible conditions, including a number of regulation changes where necessary. The entire team at SRO Motorsports Group is now excited to get this amazing season underway in just a few weeks' time when the lights turn green at Monza.”
