The penultimate stage of Rally Turkey saw Kronos Total Citroen World Rally Team's Dani Sordo post a blindingly quick time in an effort to move beyond Manfred Stohl in the overall classifications. Sordo began the 16.91 kilometre stage nine seconds off Stohl for ninth overall, and the 2005 FIA Junior World Rally Championship title holder narrowed the gap betwen he and Stohl to just 4.3 seconds. As the stage dried significantly since the crews drove through it as a road section this morning, Marcus Gronholm was again fastest, although this time with a smaller margin.
