Exhibitors make visitors experience the newest SimRacing and gaming trends

There are many sides to simulation technology: Producers, products and users. On the SimRacing Expo 2015, all of them come together. Moreover, real motors will be roaring on the Nürburgring just next door: The finale of the Blancpain Endurance Series, the biggest GT3-racing car series in the world, will take place at the same time.


Over 20 exhibitors are opening their doors to visitors to test the newest trends in racing-games, game consoles, simulators and motion simulators - these include products, which are presented to the public for the very first time.



The best racetracks of the world in only one place

When you cannot race on the real Nürburgring, at least do it on a flawless simulation of it. On the SimRacing EXPO the racetracks are where the fans are, not the other way around: Visitors are given the chance to prove their racing skills on the most notorious racing tracks of the world.


 The worldwide known “Nordschleife” of the Grand Prix-circuit next door is very new among the available tracks and can be tested exclusively on the fair.



Real driving sensations through optimized motion simulations

Today, the newest technologies and their respective hardware, are capable to create an astonishing driving feeling. The simulators accessible on the fair give drivers every single feedback a real racing car would give on a racing track. To provide the driver with the most authentic racing experience possible, g-forces have to be simulated.


Therefore, the body’s performance under the influence of different gforces is provoked. To do so, the brain has to be fooled: While accelerating, the body is pushed into the seat, while using the brakes, it is pushed towards the seatbelt and in curves, it is pushed towards the outer part of the curve.


The simulation of original braking g-forces, all together with the tension in respective muscles and the visual impression on the screen is interpreted as braking by the brain.


The SimRacing EXPO’s exhibitor ActoracerR from STL creates a realistic physical feeling by surrounding the driver acoustically through headphones with a 5.1 sound system and with screens in a close to 180° angle. Besides the Actoracer, simulators from exhibitors like Simatok and Home Racer will be accessible for test drives.


The main distinction between the simulators is the motion engine software. This corepiece of the simulators is specifically decisive when it comes to transforming physical data into motion. The SimRacing EXPO exhibitor Heusinkveld-Engineering is particularly popular among the producers of this software



Individual hardware-pieces from Heusinkveld-Engineering, Sim-Pedals, driving simulation software and turnkey simulators create a driving experience so realistic that even professional racers of Formula 1, F4, F3 and GP2 use them for trainings.



Great racing experience in front of an ideal coulisse

While visitors try out the newest simulation techniques, the iRacing GT500-Race next door offers a suitable atmosphere. The main event this year, once more, is the ADAC SimRacing Trophy.


Over a hundred thousand enthusiasts of virtual motor sports will follow the race live online. This year, the price will be split into two categories: The Manufacturer’s Cup and the Driver’s Cup.


For the latter, soft- and hardware will be the same, whereas in the Manufacturer’s Cup, gamers will exclusively play on motion simulators.


Every visitor of the fair can register for the virtual race on-site and qualify for the finals. Fans of motorsports and its simulation should highlight the weekend of the 19th – 20th of September in their calendar (www.simracingexpo.de).

About SimRacing EXPO 2015


On the 19th and 20th of September 2015, the SimRacing EXPO will take place for the second time. On the 8,800 square metres of the Ring Boulevard on the Nurburgring, more than 20 exhibitors present all the novelties related to virtual racing. The fair’s visitors will not only be able to learn about the latest SimRacing and gaming trends at free admission, but also try them out on-site.


Racer, engineers and developer will receive all the information on the newest developments in the sector. In the form of the GT500 race, the final Blancpain Endurance Series race, the largest GT 3 race series in the world, will take place at the same time and place. Like no other, this event combination merges the borders between real racing action and virtual motor sport.
