WRC Rallyes - Sweden Rally
Saturday, February 13th, 2016

Sat 14:45 - Sweden after SS16
1.Ogier 1h50m25.8s,
2.Paddon +15.9s,
3.Ostberg +42.6s,
4.Mikkelsen +1m07.1s,
5.Tanak +1m32.9s
Sat 14:40 - SS16: WRC 2 Lappi
Another fastest time for the Finn, 1.4sec slower than Tidemand. "I think I'm more relaxed and braking later. I saw Ahlin in the ditch and that gave me a boost."
Sat 14:36 - SS16: WRC 2 Tidemand
Tidemand quickest so far in WRC 2, 10.2sec up on Evans. Evans's category lead is down to 18.1sec. "It's going well. I really love this stage. The pace notes, car, all is working well. Not so easy to beat Evans though. I wish we had more stages and more time to catch up."
Sat 14:33 - SS16: WRC 2 Grondal
"Okay, back up to third now but that's bad luck for Fredrik. We passed him in stage and it looks like he's taken a wheel off in a slow corner."
Sat 14:32 - SS16: WRC 2 Ahlin
Stopped in stage. He had been third in WRC 2

Sat 14:31 - SS16: WRC 2 Evans
"We had a few issues after the last stage and had to make repairs to the steering. They seem to have held okay."
Sat 14:30 - SS16: Latvala
He's one second slower than Ogier and misses out on a hat-trick of stage wins. "Happy with the driving. I didn't want to take any more risks here."
Sat 14:28 - SS16: Al Rajhi update
That's it for the day. He has left the stage via an access road and is en route back to service.

Sat 14:27 - SS16: Meeke
9sec off Ogier's pace and he's lucky to escape a trip into a ditch near the end. "I think I have a puncture. There's a big vibration. We have an issue with the wheel I think." Sure enough the right-rear tyre is pushed off the rim.
Sat 14:22 - SS16: Al Rajhi update
Stop and start. He's stopped again close to Colin's Crest.
Sat 14:21 - SS16: H. Solberg
"Pushing hard. Lots of fun. Less grip in the front, I did what I could." Henning no match for Sordo on this stage and the gap between them widens from 6 to 20 sec.
Sat 14:19 - SS16: Breen
"Not very good. I took only one spare tyre this afternoon and I was too hard on the studs on the stage before. Just inexperience. I dropped a lot of time in the last split here. My time is surprising. I thought I'd lose a lot more."
Sat 14:15 - SS16: Al Rajhi
Reported to be driving slowly - problem?
Sat 14:14 - SS16: Al Qassimi
"I kept correcting my notes, going faster and faster. If we could do this stage for a third time it will be better!"

Sat 14:12 - SS16: Paddon
5.7sec SLOWER than Ogier and he trails the rally lead by 15.9sec. "It's all about maintaining my position now. Okay, we started this stage trailing Ogier by 10 sec, but that's like being a minute behind any other driver. We need to be smart. We struggled a bit in here. We used our studs in the stage before."
Sat 14:09 - SS16: Tanak
19.3sec off the pace. "All day it has been frozen gravel and unfortunately that's not working for us. We saw yesterday it was different and in those conditions, with our tyres, we were able to fight for the podium."
Sat 14:05 - SS16: Sordo
4.9sec off Ogier's pace. "It was okay. A little bit difficult with the changing grip. We didn't feel we pushed too hard but the time is not so bad compared to the others."
Sat 14:03 - SS16: Ostberg
9.3sec slower than Ogier. "The stage is mainly gravel. The beginning is quite icy, but after that it's gravel with snow either side. My goal now is to hold this position."
Sat 14:00 - SS16: Neuville
5.2sec off Ogier's pace and he's straight out to look at his car's right-hand side. "We have a broken damper." His jump over Colin's Crest is a record-matching 44 metres. These things might be related.

Sat 13:56 - SS16: Mikkelsen
4.1sec slower than Ogier. "This stage was clean. I took it a bit steady after my moment on the previous one."
Sat 13:53 - SS16: Ogier
He's through in 12m48.8s. "Pushing hard in there - some moments." There is a chunk missing from his car's right-rear wheel.
Sat 13:41 - SS16: Ogier
Caught on the helicopter camera: a MASSIVE moment for Ogier on a long right-hander 1km from the start. Somehow he gets it back under control. It's going to cost him a second or two.
Sat 13:37 - Up next: SS16
The repeat of Vargåsen and a second punt at Colin's Crest. Ogier's start time: 1338hrs. Watch it LIVE on WRC
