Dmitry Bragin did it again! The driver from Togliatti clinched a fourth consecutive TCR Russia title, and did it in style by winning the season’s final race at Sochi. His rivals were not even serious threats for him during the weekend; Kirill Ladygin never had the pace to stay with the front runners, while Klim Gavrilov earned two penalties in the second race. However, he has lodged an appeal and so the results remain provisional.

In Race 1, Ivan Lukashevich converted pole position into his first victory of the season and his teammates Andrej Maslennikov and Aleksey Dudukalo completed a 1-2-3 finish for Lukoil Racing. Gavrilov was classified fourth and Bragin fifth after his teammate Pavel Kalmanovich let him through on the last lap.

Gavrilov led Race 2 after passing Burlutskiy and Bragin outside the track limits and so he was given a drive through. Bragin overtook Burlutskiy on lap 6 and for the rest of the race he defended the leadership from the assaults of Burlutskiy and Mikhail Mityaev who finished in the order behind him. Gavrilov recovered to ninth, but was then dropped to 16th by another penalty for track limits, while Ladygin was classified eighth.

Race 1

1. Ivan Lukashevich (Lukoil Racing, Hyundai i30 N), 9 laps
2. Andrej Maslennikov (Lukoil Racing, CUPRA), 3.045
3. Aleksey Dudukalo (Lukoil Racing, Audi RS 3 LMS), 4.088

Race 2

1. Dmitry Bragin (TAIF Motorsport, Hyundai i30 N), 11 laps
2. Grigoriy Burlutskiy (Carville Racing, Volkswagen Golf GTI), 0.590
3. Mikhail Mityaev (LADA Sport Rosneft, LADA Vesta Sport), 2.086

Championship points

1. Bragin 227 pts; 2. Ladygin 192; 3. Gavrilov 186
