A1 Team Switzerland and "Aqua SP" have concluded a marketing partnership agreement, which will take effect as of the first race weekend of the A1 GP series at Zandvoort on September 29-30, 2007.

Swiss-based Multi Pro Natural, the developer of Acqua SP has signed an agreement with A1 Team Switzerland to gain marketing rights and services from the leading racing team.

The Swiss A1 GP team's pit walls and car as well as team and driver uniforms will carry the "Acqua SP" logo. Extensive research shows that A1 Team Switzerland can provide the international global communication platform needed by "Acqua SP" to promote their environmentally friendly products developed for different sectors of the economy.

Max Welti, team principal, A1 Team Switzerland commented: "We are looking forward to working with Acqua SP. Our team provides an ideal platform for Multi Pro Natural, the developer of Acqua SP.

I would like to recall how much I support the efforts of the A1 GP Series organizers to promote new environmental technologies and to reduce the amount of emissions being released by our racing cars into the environment. A1 Team Switzerland are the right platform to support Acqua SP's marketing actions."

Aqua SP also announced simultaneously that it will be the first global sponsor of the A1GP and be present in the series with trackside signage at all races of the 2007/2008 A1GP season.

After 11 events and 22 races around the world, A1 Team Switzerland finished the inaugural A1GP season as runners-up, winning from pole position in Dubai. In 2006-2007 they again won from the pole in Malaysia, on the way to securing another top eight championship finish.

The drivers racing for their country in 2007-2008 will be Neel Jani and Sebastien Buemi. The rookie drivers will be Marcel Fässler, Tom Dillmann and two lady rookie drivers, Rahel Frey and Natacha Gachnang who participated successfully to a shootout event at Silverstone in September 2007 . They will have the chance to represent their national team starting with the Brno Grand Prix, 2nd leg of the A1 GP Championship.

Due to the cancellation of the usual rookie sessions on Friday in line with the circuit's noise restriction requirements, Saturday practice has been extended to two 1 hour 10 minute sessions at 09:00 and 11:50.
