First test day without peculiar performances for Durango at Paul Ricard today.
Davide Valsecchi finished eight and Nelson Panciatici twentythird. But even like this for today it is alright, because Davide did not force to death and for Nelson this has been the first GP2 debut.
Marco Pulliero, Valsecchi race engineer, declared: “Today Davide, after some months spent driving the old GP2 Asia car, did not push to the limit but simply got back on the new car. So his eight time was claimed in a relaxed way. I am sure tomorrow he will be much faster”.
Eduardo Gimenez, Panciatici race engineer, commented: “Today for Nelson everything was new but I remained impressed by the way he drove. He surely gets a very good potential, which tomorrow we will better exploit”.
