At the previous round at Spielberg, the Team Trident drivers showed great pace but did not realize their potential. The team's goal is to confirm itself at the top of the category and take the first win of 2019.

A weekend of mixed emotions like the one experienced in the previous race at Red Bull Ring by the Team Trident can only lead to great motivations approaching the fourth round of the FIA Formula 3 Championship that will take place next weekend at Silverstone. The goal of the Milan-based team, which in the past has been a constant presence on the podium of the legendary British circuit, is to continue improving the momentum gained with the results secured at Paul Ricard, where they got a second and a third place.

The team also put on display for the excellent set-up that allowed the drivers to be extremely competitive in the usually decisive final part of the race. On the track located in Northamptonshire, Team Trident is aiming for the first win of the season.

On British soil, Pedro Piquet will build on the two podium finishes of Paul Ricard. The result was not repeated on the ups and downs of the Red Bull Ring due to a spin in the early stages of the final race while in third place. For the Brazilian, winner of the GP3 Series race twelve months ago at Silverstone, the appointment with his third podium of the season was only postponed.

As for 19-year-old Finn Niko Kari, an Austrian and a former Red Bull junior driver, jeopardized a prestigious placement in Styria due to contact which prevented him from going beyond the eighth final position in the final round.

Devlin Defrancesco delivered very solid results in both Red Bull Ring races, confirming a very evident growth. The 19-year-old driver from Ontario has the goal of scoring his first points this season. All the right ingredients for a successful weekend for Team Trident at Silverstone are there. The preparation work has been very accurate too. Now it is time to let the engines road and the drivers fight.

Giacomo Ricci, Team Manager

“Our cars showed great performance in the previous round, but we missed the implementation part due to not optimal race management. We go to England with great motivation on a track that saw us win in the past. We prepared this trip well; we must be ambitious and confident in our weapons”.

The engines of the FIA Formula 2 Championship cars will come alive on Friday at 11:55 am for the opening practice session. Qualifying will be later the same day at 3.55pm. The Feature Race will be on Saturday at 15.45 pm, while the Sprint Race is scheduled for Sunday at 10.00 am.

The FIA Formula 3 Championship will start their weekend on Friday morning with the free practice session at 8:35 am. Qualifying will be played on the same day at 4.50 pm. Race One will be Saturday at 9:25 am, while Race 2 is scheduled for Sunday at 08:35 am. As usual, all the action will be covered live by Sky Sports F1. Times are expressed in local time, one hour ahead of Italy and central Europe.
