In the closing race for the series at Red Bull Ring, the Trident Motorsport drivers faced adverse fortunes. Clément Novalak and Jack Doohan were run off the track by Arthur Leclerc and Jak Crawford with no fault on their side. David Schumacher did not make it to the points zone.



In Race 3, which wrapped up the third round of the 2021 FIA Formula 3 Championship at the Austrian circuit of Spielberg, the Trident Motorsport drivers had no luck whatsoever. Jack Doohan, who won race 3 in the previous round at Le Castellet, was hit by another car which caused a puncture.


The Gold Coast driver was forced to retire after fighting for fifth place with only a few kilometres to go. The setback cost the Australian driver the second position in the championship, and he is now third behind Hauger and Vesti. Clément Novalak, who started from sixth place on the grid, was pushed off the track by a contender while fighting for P4.



Race 2 winner David Schumacher could not score points this time and finished a race without major hiccups in P13. The series calendar now features a few weeks off, which will allow drivers to work on the data collected in the third outing of 2021 in Styria. F3 will be back into action on the first weekend of August for the Hungarian Grand Prix in Budapest. Trident Motorsport aims to play, once again, a leading role.

"The epilogue of the third round of the season didn't turn out in favour of the Trident Motorsport drivers. Jack Doohan and Clément Novalak were run off the track by other drivers while fighting around the podium zone. It's a pity because Trident Motorsport lost valuable points for the team championship.



After cruising to victory in race 2, David Schumacher did not find the right race pace and ended race 3 out of the points zone. Our goal is to be ready for the next round of the championship, scheduled for the first weekend of August at Hungaroring."
