2023 UCI Cycling World Championships: all venues now confirmed with the unveiling of Gran Fondo hosts

23.03.2023: The Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) and the organisers of the 2023 UCI Cycling World Championships taking place in Glasgow and across Scotland today revealed the venues for the Gran Fondo road races and time trials.

 
The Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) and the organisers of the 2023 UCI Cycling World Championships taking place in Glasgow and across Scotland today revealed the venues for the Gran Fondo road races and time trials.
 


Central Scotland’s Perth and Kinross region – situated some 95km north of Glasgow - will host the Gran Fondo road races on Friday 4 August. Three days later, on Sunday 7 August, the nearby east coast city of Dundee and its wider county of Angus will provide the backdrop for the Gran Fondo time trials. The road races and time trials will take participants over beautiful but challenging courses across Perthshire, Dundee and Angus, encompassing historic cities, towns and villages in coastal and countryside settings.
 


Thousands of participants from more than 50 nations are expected to take part in the UCI Gran Fondo World Championships after qualifying at one of the 27 qualification events held around the world over the previous 12 months.
 


Details of the Gran Fondo road race and time trial courses will be announced soon.
 

Perth and Kinross, and Dundee and Angus are the final host locations to be announced for the 2023 UCI Cycling World Championships taking place from 3 to 13 August 2023.
