Honda Indy 200
Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course
Saturday, July 19, 2008

Mario Dominguez turned in his best qualifying result of his short IndyCar career today. He missed the top-six of his group by just .03. Dominguez will start mid-pack among familiar faces, his former Indy Lights teammate Dan Wheldon and fellow Champ Car competitor Graham Rahal will start just in front of him.
He will start alongside his former Champ Car teammate, Watkins Glen race-winner, Ryan Hunter-Reay. The Honda Indy 200 will be Pacific Coast Motorsports fourth IndyCar race and second race on a road course. Two weeks ago, Dominguez started 19th and finished 13th at Watkins Glen.

Mario on Qualifying: "I am proud of my team and the progress we’ve made. We are diligent and our results show it. We missed the top-12 and the next round by just .03. We had it really, we had a lap that would have moved us the position we needed into the next round but Graham (Rahal) held me up beginning in turn five and we didn’t make it.
In any case, I think we had a decent run and we are starting mid-back next to a lot of good guys out there, so it should be a lot of fun. My engineer Chris (Lerch) has developed a good car for the race tomorrow, and overall I am very happy with our progress, especially since it is our second race on a road course and fourth race overall in the Visit Mexico City car."
Tyler Tadevic, Team Owner: "The team continues to take steps forward every session again this weekend. We enjoyed our best practice result and our best qualifying result so far. We just missed our goal of being inside the top-12 and we are really looking forward to the race tomorrow. We think if we race smart and run strong, we can give our partners, Visit Mexico City and the Mexico Tourism Board a top-12 finish tomorrow."
Mario’s Mexico City Travel Tip: "The Diego Rivera Mural Museum is really cool. I definitely suggest you check it out. Diego’s mural "Dream of a Sunday Afternoon at Popular Grove" is there. It is terrific!"
