Fri 10:16 - WRC 2 standings after SS3

1. Tidemand 32m 40.8s 2. Greensmith +20.9sec 3. Saba +1. 29.6s 4. A.Heller +1m 31.1s 5. P.Heller +1m 35.9s

Fri 10:05 - SS3: Solans

Solans finishes as well, he's done a good job on this stage - just 25.7sec off the top

Fri 10:04 - SS3: Bulacia

Marquito Bulacia logs the third fastest time in WRC 2, he's almost one minute slower than Tidemand.

Fri 10:01 - SS3: Pedro Heller

Pedro is the third of the WRC 2 cars through the end of this test, 1m 05.7s behind the Swede

Fri 09:59 - SS3: Greensmith

He reaches stop control now. Gus finished that stage 16.9sec behind Tidemand.

Fri 09:57 - SS3: Greensmith

Gus Greensmith is through the last split in his Fiesta R5, 15.9sec down on the Skoda driver.

Fri 09:57 - SS3: Tidemand

Pontus Tidemand is on course to be our first WRC 2 car to reach the flying finish, he's set a 20m 46.5s as a marker for the rest of the category.

Fri 09:55 - SS3: Al Qassimi

Sheikh Khalid is through now, 21m 23.1s is his time. Taking it steady it would seem as he looks to find his rhythm again after so many months away from WRC competition.

Fri 09:52 - SS3: Suninen

Suninen puts in the slowest time so far, 25.4sec off the stage winning time. "Driving was not so good, I was late with the throttle and could have pushed more."

Fri 09:50 - WRC standings after SS3

Changes throughout the standings after this test: 1. Mikkelsen 30m 24.6s 2. Ogier +3.6sec 3. Tänak +9.5sec 4. Lappi +10.1sec 5. Meeke +10.7sec 6. Neuville +11.8sec 7. Sordo +17.1sec

Fri 09:48 - SS3: Evans

Evans is through the penultimate split 15.8sec slower than the Toyota driver. He now finishes almost 20sec off the fastest stage time. "No real issues, just not fast enough."

Fri 09:45 - SS3: Breen

He's through with the third fastest time, 7.6sec slower than Tänak. "This stage was a lot better with dust, but I had too many silly moments touching banks and other things. I was lucky not to pick up a puncture."

Fri 09:44 - SS3: Breen

Breen has reached the ultimate split, he's 7.8sec slower than Tänak, but he's more than nine seconds faster than Ogier

Fri 09:42 - SS3: Sordo

Dani is through now, 2.8sec slower than Tänak. "This stage is much better, there's no dust. The first stage I was really disappointed because you couldn't push too hard with the dust."

Fri 09:40 - SS3: Latvala

Looking again on All Live, it looks like Latvala hit a rock pretty hard. That's damaged his suspension.

Fri 09:38 - SS3: Sordo

The Spaniard is going pretty well on this marathon stage, he's 3.7sec down on Tänak at the 27.75km split and could be on for a good time here.

Fri 09:37 - SS3: Lappi

Lappi: "It's a long stage, a lot of loose rocks the boys are putting on the road. Some of them I avoided but some of them I couldn't because the road is so narrow." He's through 9.2sec down on team-mate Tänak

Fri 09:35 - SS3: Latvala

It seems the curse of the live text has struck Latvala! He's out of the car and looking under the bonnet of his car, stopped at 26.6km. All Live is showing the Finn slowing on the stage and finally stopping at the side of the road.

Fri 09:33 - SS3: Meeke

Meeke's third fastest through the stage, a few wide moments for him at points. He's 13.8sec slower than Tänak. Turns out he also didn't have a puncture after SS2, a false alarm on the dash of his Citroën C3

Fri 09:32 - SS3: Latvala

The Toyotas seem to be liking these Argentinian stages, he's 1.1sec faster than Tänak through the sixth split.

Fri 09:30 - SS3: Mikkelsen

He's through to the end now, 10.2sec down on the Estonian driver. He's second fastest on the stage so far. Let's see what he says: "There were so many rocks being pulled out, I tried to keep clear of them but that compromised my line." He's into the overall lead at the moment.

Fri 09:28 - SS3: Mikkelsen

Mikkelsen is reaching the end of the stage now, at the final split he's 10sec down on Tänak, but 7.1sec up on Ogier.

Fri 09:27 - SS3: Tänak

The Estonian is through to the end now and by heck he's set a good time - he's come through 17.8sec faster than Ogier with a 19m 19.9s. "What can we do? It was a stupid mistake on SS2, I hit a rock and broke something in the steering which caused problems in this stage. We managed to get it a bit better but it definitely isn't fixed." If that's what he can do with damaged steering, how fast would he have been with perfect steering?

Fri 09:25 - SS3: Neuville

We've not mentioned Neuville much, but he's through to the end now. Although we don't have a time for him, and Neuville doesn't seem to know a time either: "I don't know if this was better [than SS2], I have no times. The car felt okay but I don't know about the rhythm."

Fri 09:23 - SS3: Tänak

Tänak reaches the penultimate split 27.75km into SS3 and he's 14.2sec faster than Ogier.

Fri 09:22 - SS3: Ogier

Ogier reaches the flying finish now and he sets a 19m 37.7s. "There are some very fast sections, it's a beautiful stage."

Fri 09:18 - SS3: Tänak

He's on a charge, 11m 12.8s at the 20.47km split puts him 8.1sec faster than Ogier.

Fri 09:15 - Meeke

Meeke breaks the beam at the first split, he's 1.9sec down on Tänak - a 2m 02.6s

Fri 09:14 - Tänak

Tänak is on for a flyer here, 5m 59.8s at the third split puts him 3.9sec faster than Ogier.

Fri 09:13 - Mikkelsen

Andreas Mikkelsen is also into the sandy stage he's set a 2m 01.2s to the first split, putting him second on the stage at the moment.

Fri 09:10 - Tänak

We're getting splits from Tänak and he's gone faster than Ogier through the first split 3.74km into this stage. A 2m 00.7s compared to Ogier's 2m 01.6s. He's also faster through the second split with a 4m 06.4s - 2.2sec faster.

Fri 09:06 - Neuville

Neuville is also onto the stage, but we don't seem to be getting any splits from his Hyundai

Fri 09:05 - SS3: Ogier

Ogier breaks the second of eight splits on this stage in a time of 4m 08.6s.

Fri 08:54 - SS3 guide

Without delay, let's have a look at SS3: Amboy / Yacanto 1, 33.58km Friday’s longest stage is nevertheless driven in a shorter format than for its last appearance in 2014. It is fast, but technical, initially before becoming narrower with plenty of tight corners. The test retains its pace throughout and a series of medium speed bends link extremely fast sections towards the finish.
