In an atmosphere of growing expectations for the new BMW M3 sedan in Superstars configuration, Roberto Ravaglia, ROAL Motorsport team principal, talks about progresses in the development of the car:
"The programme of the M3 Sedan for the Superstars championship is proceeding at full stream. We are meeting all the scheduled deadlines of the project and the first on track tests will be in May. After that we will fix the championship debut date.
The chassis manufacturing is completed and we are now focusing on the front aerodynamics, particularly on bumpers and fenders, before defining the final shape of the car. We are experiencing some difficulties because the production model will be launched only in a month time and, without a model to work on, we are limited in the measurement of the necessary data to bring the racing car compliant with the road version according to what prescribed by the regulations.
The engine, thanks to the collaboration with Autotecnica and PowerOn, is almost ready for the first tests at the bench that will begin in the second week of April together with the first tests on the new exhaust.
Nothing is decided from the drivers´ side yet but most probably various prominent drivers will alternate in the rounds we will take part to".
