15:43 : Cars: a step forward for Al Attiyah, a step back for Peterhansel

At CP4 (after 396 km) Nasser Al Attiyah appears to be heading for another stage victory. The Mini team leader boasts a lead of 1’38 over Sébastien Loeb (Peugeot) and 4’37’’ over Stéphane Peterhansel (Peugeot) with forty kilometres left before the finish in San Juan.




14:00 : Cars: Al Attiyah faster than the Peugeots

Despite the almighty struggle between Peterhansel and Loeb (Peugeot), it is actually Nasser Al Attiyah who has posted the best time at CP2 (after 243 km). The official Mini leads Peterhansel by 9 seconds and Loeb by 14 seconds. Will it be enough for stage victory?



13:39 : Cars: the lead changes hands

The two Peugeot drivers are offering an unrestrained battle on today’s special. Stéphane Peterhansel has managed to reverse the trend at CP2 (after 243 km). Trailing Sébastien Loeb previously, he has grabbed the lead by 5 seconds, making it a contest likely to delight the rally’s aficionados.




12:52 : Cars: the battle is still raging

The struggle is still intense between Sébastien Loeb and Stéphane Peterhansel, with the two men only seconds apart. After Peter had come back to within 1 second of Loeb, the nine times WRC winner fought back and at way point 3 (after 130 km) he had gained three seconds on his team-mate.


 Thirty kilometres later, the gap has increased to 8 seconds. Behind them, Cyril Despres is still in third position, 1’34’’ behind Loeb
