Dayinsure delighted with first foray into the forests

02.11.2016: Dayinsure Wales Rally GB ticks all the boxes Dayinsure – the UK’s premier provider of online, short-term vehicle

Dayinsure Wales Rally GB ticks all the boxes

Dayinsure – the UK’s premier provider of online, short-term vehicle insurance – sped firmly into the international spotlight last weekend as title partner to Wales Rally GB, the UK’s round of the all-action FIA World Rally Championship (WRC).

As a local business and one that has gained class leading traction in the temporary vehicle cover sector, Tarporley-based Dayinsure climbed on-board with one of the world’s fastest and most spectacular sports earlier this year, immediately helping to enhance the profile and visibility of the pioneering company.

A concerted build-up culminated in last weekend’s Dayinsure Wales Rally GB, which pitched some of the most fearless drivers and co-drivers anywhere on the planet against the demanding and unforgiving forest roads of mid and north Wales – with multiple World Rally Champion Sébastien Ogier showing his class to conquer the conditions and claim his fourth successive victory on British soil.

Dayinsure branding was strongly in evidence all around the event, from the buzzing Deeside Rally Village to the Ceremonial Start at Eirias Stadium in Colwyn Bay, the Podium and Prize-Giving in Llandudno and of course, those legendary forest speed tests.

Not forgetting, either, Chester’s historic city centre – an immensely popular return to the WRC schedule for the first time in almost two decades – and Cholmondeley Castle, whose family-friendly RallyFest stage incorporated the ‘Dayinsure Donut’ around which all competitors had to complete a dramatic, tyre-burning 360-degree spin for added entertainment.

Dayinsure Founder and Chairman Dennis Ryan was afforded the honour of flagging away three of the cars from the start ramp – including homegrown heroes Kris Meeke and Craig Breen [see images below rows 6 and 7] – and he revealed that the event had comfortably exceeded his expectations.

“What a weekend!” enthused Ryan. “For our first major foray into sponsorship, we really couldn’t have asked for much more. I’ve been a rallying fan ever since the RAC days back in the 1980s, and I can confirm that the current generation of drivers are every bit as brave and the cars just as breathtaking more than three decades on.

“It was fabulous to see so many fans in the Deeside Rally Village every evening, and with the big screen broadcasting Dayinsure adverts and interviews, there was plenty of brand exposure.

That made the event the ideal platform from which to promote the Dayinsure message of freedom of choice – and that’s before you even begin to consider the comprehensive regional, national and international TV coverage the rally received.

“We also brought a lot of guests along to the Cholmondeley Castle RallyFest, and they thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The Dayinsure Donut seemed to be a popular innovation amongst competitors and spectators alike, and to have all of the drivers autograph it at the end was the icing on the cake.

“The feedback we have received since the event is that a lot of people were asking about what Dayinsure does and what we can offer, and for us, that’s absolutely what this partnership is all about – raising brand awareness and driving new business. Who knows, perhaps next year, we will see rally fans Dayinsuring it to get to the event!”

Dayinsure offers comprehensive vehicle coverage for as little as two hours, which protects the owner’s no claims discount as the policy refers to the person borrowing the vehicle.

All policies are underwritten by two of the UK’s leading insurance brands in Aviva and Allianz, both of whom have award-winning claims-handling departments. In other words, Dayinsure’s 24/7 online service is the number one go-to place for temporary vehicle insurance cover.
