Rockingham host Kieren Clarks local Formula Renault UK round.

This coming weekend, Kieren Clark, the 19-year-old racing driver from Cambridge, will be competing at the Rockingham rounds of the popular Formula Renault UK series, stepping in the footsteps of current formula 1 stars, Lewis Hamilton, Kimi Raikkonen, and Heikki Kovalainen.
Formula Renault UK is a support race to the incredibly popular British Touring Car Championship weekend, and huge crowds are expected at the Rockingham Motor Speedway, near Corby, Northants this weekend.
This will be KCs 2nd weekend of the fiercely competitive Formula Renault UK series, with an encouraging finish in the top 10 of his first race at Brands Hatch behind him, he is hopefully of a good result. "The qualifying at Brands Hatch was a bit of lottery, but a good grid position is a must in this series.
There are a few overtaking places at Rockingham, but the cars are so evenly matched it can be tricky." commented KC. "the banked part of the track is fun, with the Formula Renaults aero package, the G force really build up, so Ive been working hard in the gym to make sure I dont have any problems during the 2 races on the Sunday."
Qualifying will take place on Saturday 12th April and the races will be on Sunday 13th,
All grandstand seats and access to the paddock are free at Rockingham and children 15 and under get in for free! As well as the thrilling BTCC events, support races include, Renault Clios, Porsche Carreras, Ginetta Juniors and SEAT Cupra championship.

Motors TV would like to express its deepest sympathy to the family and friends of David Leslie, who was killed yesterday in a plane crash near Biggin Hill, Kent.
Leslie, along with four other passengers and crew, lost their lives when the plane they were travelling in went down shortly after take-off.

Clark eager for season opener at Brands Hatch this weekend

Kieren Clark, the 19 year old Cambridge based youngster, is eager to kick off his season at the Brands Hatch opener this coming weekend, 22nd and 23rd March.
The double header will see qualifying on the Indy circuit Saturday, with the 2 races on Sunday, alongside the British Touring Car Championship rounds, so there are sure to be big crowds for the series opener.
