First victory for Gergo Baldi, first triumph of the season for the BMW M6 GT3 and a thrilling final spurt: The fourth round of the ADAC GT Masters eSports Championship powered by EnBW mobility+ delivered a new race winner and thrilled the crowd at the Sachsenring with a very tight finish.
In the final phase of the race, Baldi, who starts for the M1RA Esports team, prevailed over the previously sovereign title defender Moritz Löhner and secured his first victory of the season.
Simracing fans experienced an exciting final phase at the Sachsenring: Starting from fifth place, Gergo Baldi in his M1RA Esports-BMW M6 GT3 made a real impact towards the end of the race and showed strong overtaking maneuvers. When tire strategy came into play in the final laps, Baldi launched a successful attack on Mahle Racing driver Moritz Löhner less than two minutes before the end of the race.

The ADAC GT Masters eSports title defender and Sachsenring pole setter controlled the race until Baldi attacked at the front, but was then unable to defend himself against the Hungarian. Baldi won, Löhner finished the race in second place.
"Originally it was my strategy to try an undercut at the mandatory stop. In the end I reacted to the race and was able to position myself well for the second half of the race. Especially in the last laps there were close fights for places. Moritz [Löhner] had braked a bit early for the decisive maneuver at the end of the start-finish straight, so I had to decide at lightning speed and take my chance. I really enjoyed our fights," said Baldi after his first victory.
Nürburgring winner Nikodem Wisniewski (Williams Esports) was able to bring his third place of the qualifying to the finish line and with a total of 68 points he moved back to the top of the overall classification. Tim Jarschel worked his way up to sixth place in qualifying after starting from ninth place on the grid and is now second in the championship with 61 points. Behind them, the race is close: Moritz Löhner and Néstor García (Red Bull Racing Esports), who finished in fourth place, are both on a par with 52 championship points each.
Jack Keithley (Williams Esports, fifth place at the Sachsenring) and Erhan Jajovski (R8G Esports, seventh place at the Sachsenring) are also in the championship double with 49 points each in the championship standings. As the last Simracer within striking distance of the top, Gergo Baldi also caught up after his victory with a total of 47 points.
