Favourite victory in the fifth round of the ADAC GT Masters eSports Championship powered by EnBW mobility+ on the Red Bull Ring: Williams Esports driver Jack Keithley secured his second win of the season in the ADAC eSports Championship, which is endowed with a prize money pot of 80,000 euros. Marko Pejic, who was a guest entrant for Euronics Gaming, was the surprise of the evening with his best time in qualifying and third place in the race. The race on the Red Bull Ring can be watched in full length re-live on youtube.com/adac.
An overwhelmed winner: After the second place in qualifying and a successful start, Jack Keithley did not hesitate to take his Williams Esports-Mercedes-AMG GT3 to the top of the field after the second corner of the race, passing guest Marko Pejic. The Briton was also to hold this position as he crossed the finish line: "Today's victory was more important than one might imagine. The past time has been one of ups and downs, but winning this championship race now means a lot to me! Congratulations to Moritz [Löhner] in second place, he put a lot of pressure on me throughout the race".
This Moritz Löhner underlines with his second place that he has not yet put the title defence project on hold. Starting from fourth place, he steered his virtual Mercedes-AMG GT3 to second place in a convincing manner after a turbulent start phase in which the Mahle Racing driver fought thrilling duels with brand colleague Erhan Jajovski and Tim Jarschel in the Corvette C7 GT3-R, thus confirming his championship ambitions.
But there was someone else who felt particularly comfortable on the virtual image of the Styrian Grand Prix circuit: Marko Pejic, who qualified as a guest entrant for the championship round on the Red Bull Ring, amazed the field of elite simracers in the ADAC GT Masters eSports Championship powered by EnBW mobility+ with the fastest time in qualifying. With comparatively little experience, the fast Euronics Gaming pilot secured the first pole position for a Porsche 911 GT3-R. In the race, he only had to admit defeat to Keithley and Löhner and completed the podium in third place.
The winning trio was followed by Jakub Brzezinski (Williams Esports) in fourth place, with Spaniard Néstor García (Red Bull Racing Esports) in fifth. Nikodem Wisniewski (Williams Esports) continues to lead the overall standings with a total of 80 points. After his victory yesterday Keithley worked his way up the table and is now in second place with a total of 74 points, Löhner is only one point behind in third place.

Euronics Gaming rider Jarschel had to pull back a little in the standings and now holds fourth place. García, who won the Faber Exposize Fastest Lap Award at the Red Bull Ring with 500 Euros, remains within striking distance with a total of 67 points.
The next race of the ADAC GT Masters eSports Championship powered by EnBW Mobility+ will be held on 31 October 2020. The current championship standings and everything worth knowing about the ADAC's eSports activities are available online at adac.de/esports.
