Mühlner Motorsports America participated with Efrin Castro and Moritz Kranz in the third round of the SprintX series of the Pirelli World Challenge at Lime Rock Park in Connecticut and could celebrate a 3rd place in race 1 and a 2nd place in race 2.

This extraordinary result of the H&R supported Porsche Cayman GT4 MR was not to be expected since Castro, who previously raced in the PCA Cayman GT4 Trophy East, made his debut in the PWC and had never driven a race at Lime Rock Park.
Starting from third on the grid of race 1, Kranz was able to take over the overall lead in the very strong field with 32 GT4 vehicles in the third race lap, which he retained until the late pit stop. Castro did not want to risk too much and lost some positions, but finished 3rd in the class and secured an awesome podium finish.
In the second race, whose starting positions are determined by the fastest race laps of the first race, Castro started from second place overall. Once again he deliberately kept out of risky duels and handed over the Cayman at the early pit stop to Kranz, who was able to regain positions and finally saw the checkered flag in P2 of the class.
Bernhard Mühlner after the races: "We knew that Efrin is a good driver because Moritz coached him already since the start of this season. At the PCA 48-hour Sebring in early February, Efrin raced with us and finished the two Sprints and also the Endurance Race on the podium.
But in his very first race in a highly professional series, such as the Pirelli World Challenge, in such a strong field with 32 GT4 cars of all makes, he was so level-headed that in combination with Moritz we could celebrate a third and a second place, which was not necessarily to be expected and so we are very happy.”
